Brothers and Sisters,

Labor Day is on September 2, 2013. Our Local Union will again be

participating in the Labor Day Parade this year and everyone is encour-

aged to attend. This is a celebration of Labor, Labor Unions and

Solidarity. It is a day to appreciate all of the victories won by Labor

throughout history, but also a day to reflect on the losses that have

helped us grow as an organization. Use this time to remember that our

Union is YOU, all of you together, standing up for not only yourself, but

for the man or woman working next to you. Brothers and Sisters what

you must understand is that it takes each and every one of you to make

us as strong as we are. WE are the Union. WE are the front line in the

war against Labor in the country. You have to be proud of who you are

and what you have become. You are the IBEW. You represent every-

thing it stands for. Stick together, respect each other and protect each

other.

Following the parade we will gather for the Solidarity Fest at the Union

Labor Park. It will be a great time as well so gather the family after the

parade and bring them out to celebrate with all of our Brothers and

Sisters from the South Central Iowa Federation of Labor. We are

counting on a great turnout again this year.

ing and running noses. Manufactured by USW

members, Puffs tissue can help soften the blow of

getting sick. Where can you find Puffs tissues?

Almost everywhere! Pick up a box (or two) today!

Recently, a portion of the membership was sent a letter in the mail from an individual who was

misrepresenting himself as a Representative of the IBEW Local #347 Retirement and 401K Plan.

So there is no confusion in the future, below we have listed the ONLY individuals that the Local

has authorized to work with the membership on our behalf:

Dale Roshek – Authorized Plan Representative

Mr. Rosheks Team Members:

Alex Schelling – Financial Advisor Tyler Kamerman – Financial Advisor

Taylor Finch – Producer Associate McKenzie Vogt – Producer Associate

If you have previously been working with a different individual and would like to continue to work

with them, it is your right to do so. However, whatever fees that may be associated with doing so

will be paid for by you individually. If you would like the Union to get you in contact with any of

the above Representatives we will be happy to do so.
