Keep it simple with neutral colored
accessories and subtle make-up. If
you’re a wary convert to color, start
with the accessories – a dash of color
in bag or a shoe form will soon have
you wanting for more.

We really can sing a rainbow for this new fashion season. Designers gave summer a palette of color rush. Look at these brilliantly bold and glamorous hues. These colors are joyous and uplifting. For anyone with the guts to wear it with pop, we salute you.
All you need to rock this trend is a simple top and standout
heels to let the fringes speak for themselves. For more
conservative approach, consider a fringed accessory, like
shoes. And remember to keep your duds in the same color
family to streamline your overall silhouette.
The fringe trend moves and shakes its way into Spring/Summer 2015. Fabrics were sliced intro strips at catwalk shows from Alessandra Rich to Giambattista Valli, adding a little bohemian, romantic flair to your outfit that just feels right for summer.

CROP IT
A crop top doesn’t automatically mean a bared stomach. You can style a crop top so that you are showing only a demure hint of skin Or you can take part in the crop top trend without showing any skin at all by wearing it with a crisp button-down shirt underneath.

It’s certainly not the easiest trend to style, and it takes a somewhat daring fashion sense (not to mention a toned tummy). But pulling off the cropped top doesn’t have to be so intimidating.

In March 2005 Giambattista held his
first solo show in Paris. Giambattista Valli was
thus born.
In 1997, his two great dreams became a reality - moving to
Paris, the city he adored since his teenage years, and the opportunity to combine his prêt- à-porter and couture sensibilities - when he met
Emanuel Ungaro.
Very international, glamorous, sophisticated crowds of young,
beautiful women have endorsed his talent by wearing his clothes. Among
them the likes of Penelope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel,
Natalie Portman, Diane Kruger, Halle Berry, and royals like Her Majesty
Queen Rania of Jordan.
Born and raised in Rome, Giambattista Valli holds a BA from
Liceo as well a degree in Art.
Nearly six years after the founding of his signature ready-to-wear house,
Giambattista Valli showed its first Haute Couture collection in July 2011. The
collection presents a modern concept of luxury and femininity which speaks to the wishes and lifestyle of his vibrant
international clientèle.
Influenced by his city, his Roman roots, the movies of Antonioni and inspired by the
discovery of French fashion through the watercolors of Yves Saint Laurent and the drawings of Gruau, Giambattista decided
to pursue his dream by enrolling in fashion school, the Istituto Europeo del Design
of Rome, in 1986.
AlOthman Blog is the O Girls’ social platform - providing you with latest around your favorite fashion brands, the best in celebrity’s styles and the newest runway trends. In this issue, we’re excited to showcase one of the most talented and renowned designers of our time, Giambattista Valli. After honing his craft at Fendi and Emanuel Ungaro, Giambattista Valli launched his eponymous ready-to-wear and couture collections. The designer stands out with his dramatic designs, experimenting with volumes, proportion, and pretty feminine details, which made him a favorite amongst the fashionable jet set crowd and socialites.

CoCo is a Los Angeles-based womenswear brand founded in 2011 by Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern. The name Co reflects their creative partnership, which spans the worlds of fashion and film. But it also defines their design philosophy: to create a line of luxury essentials that together form a considered, cohesive wardrobe. Each collection includes elements of ease and polish, femininity and practicality, and is always characterized by fine fabrics, unique silhouettes, and a sense of grown-up sophistication. Co aims to de- sign a new kind of essential, one that pushes the boundaries of how we define classic.
GiambaFrom Giambattista Valli’s Paris address, where his studio, showroom and boutique are located, Valli creates two haute-couture collections and two ready-to-wear collections, plus resort and pre-fall, handbags and shoes, every year. A few months ago has seen the Milan catwalk launch of a younger “sister” ready-to-wear and accessories line called Giamba (the designer’s nickname) that has been in the planning for 18 months. The Giamba line is about easy, eclectic, and free-spirited everyday feminine pieces.
LiudmilaLiudmila began with the belief that the future of footwear lies in creating desire and fantasy while respecting a woman’s mobility. Made in Italy, Liudmila singles itself out by a focus on lower-heeled styles. All of their heel styles fall
under the 100mm ranges with the majority of the collection using a 50mm heel. Liudmilla’s debut shoes collection combines softness (of line and leather) with extreme delicacy; the designer used innovative and rarely used materials like salmon skin treated in luxurious finishing.
For her Leandra wedge heels, a new manufacturing process had to be invented by the designer to be able to create this style without ruining the line, and her Marmalade sandals hand-carved in wood and the platforms are mounted separately so as to give flexibility to the style.
Needless to say that Liudmila shoes were manufactured in the same factory as Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin in Vigevano, outside of Milan.
Michael Lo SordoMichael Lo Sordo’s classic signature designs are carefully crafted to ensure the longevity of the label, creating both staple and statement pieces that can be innovated season after season.Taking great care to ensure each aspect of the MLS label is in keeping with its sophisticated and luxurious designs. The innovation in his garments reflects his consistent efforts to not only expand his own vision but the vision of his wearers.

The spirit of summer is never too far from home at Ç x Façonnable by Mira Mikati, and given the brand’s French Rivera roots, that idea of sun, sea and sand is a natural backdrop. This season Creative Director Mira Mikati took her inspiration to the beach quite literally, starting with the surf culture of the California coastline. “It’s really about the girl who is always searching for the perfect wave,” says Mikati, a recent convert to the sport. “She might hit the surf in Malibu, and jet off into the sunset for Hawaii the next day.

50 51
The glass sculptures of Sergio Redegalli were the first inspiration for my Spring/Summer 2015 collection. I was drawn to the diffusion of light and reflective transparency of his work installed at the Adelaide Botanic Garden, where his sculptures have an almost long, liquid quality to them atop the dark water on which they sit. This is echoed in the collection in the form of reflective fabrication. Inspired by the glass itself are some of the icy arctic blues and greens, the sharp laser cut patterns, and intricate -- sometimes voluminous -- crystal embroidery. I was also inspired by Tara Donovan's use of unexpected texture in her oversized sculptures. They are powerful but soft, light, and ethereal. I wanted this collection to feel light, clean, and crisp; tranquil like a Japanese zen rock garden; modern for today's woman. The collection combines simple elegant separates for day and lustrous, long dresses for evening to outfit the Christian Siriano customer with something light, feminine, clean, and crisp.

Elle Sasson
My starting point for spring 2015 inspiration was a documentary I saw about the auction of Yves Saint Laurent’s estate – the film is called “L’amour Fou”. The part that drew me in was the house in Marrakesh, and it brought me to explore the 60’s in Morocco and the colorful, luxurious individuals that traveled there at the time bringing their own style, texture and originality from various states around the globe.
After that I tried to design a collection based on the notion of what I would wear if I were living in Marrakesh at that moment in time. We developed our own fabric and laces for this collection that combined the Moroccan ethnic, festive motifs together with a more western side, which created something new.

Victorian biologist and botanical artist Marianne North captured Erdem’s imagination while working on the Spring 2015 collection. This season Karen Walker takes us into the posh English countryside and down the garden path of the eccentric horticulturist.

Her subjects were society gardeners who combined formality and function effortlessly and unapologetically. Although these women often dressed to be alone amongst nature, their wardrobes reflected a personal celebration of the colors, textures and unique character of the English country garden.

My aim was to create shoes without compromise, neither in execution of design nor compromising a woman's mobility. My first season is inspired by cartoon heroines, using classic cartoon lines, think organic lines, dainty silhouettes, a high-throat Cinderella flat, a Minnie Mouse pump, and mermaid-green exotics. I wished to immortalize these classic objects from my childhood by creating beautifully made versions I could wear.

Traditional Russian symbols and patterns in the form of sunflowers and carrots are referenced on folkloric carpet embroidery, creating colorful headbands and necklaces. A parrot, the collection’s main emblem, is not only the revival of an old family pet but also represents the exoticism of travel and new discoveries.

Relaxed glamour reminiscent of David Bailey’s shots of Marie Helvin in his book, Chasing Rainbows, sets the tone for spring/summer 2015. The collection evokes the carefree attitude of a long, hot summer. A distinct femininity and sense of easy movement underpin the collection’s soft, languid silhouettes.

The first few moments of sunrise, the instant before the sun rises and paints the sky with luminous shades of pastels is my inspiration for my Spring 2015 collection.

DINÉ1938 is the exploration of two distinct worlds interpreted into one story. It is the essence of Native American infused with the surreal illusions of movement in Op Art.

The Spring 2015 collection draws inspiration from the North African mystical city of Marrakech, the traditional Berber indigenous people of the Atlas Mountains, The natural landscapes of the desert, and the French contemporary Art Nouveau influence and Moorish Charm of artist Jardin Majorelle’s Garden of Eden.

The Spring 2015 collection celebrates the jet-set glamour of the 1960s, a decade when women used travel as a reason to dress up. Building on the refined silhouettes of that period, the Rachel Zoe collection takes the girl from St. Tropez to Portofino and finally to Marrakech, infusing the pieces with the distinct flair of those exotic locations.
The Spring 2015 collection celebrates the jet-set glamour of the 1960s. For me, it was important to create pieces that complimented the clothes. By incorporating mod elements, geometric shapes and classic colors, there is something for all women and occasions – from everyday layering pieces to evening glamour statements.

This collection is dedicated to 952 Madison. I feel I am now at the point where I am the closest with my customer, that sort of synchronicity, and I wanted to create a collection just for her.I want to reinvent the silhouettes she requires, the wardrobe that inspires, and give her the confidence she desires. My first House at 8 Carlos Place has served as a starting point of learning for me, bringing me closer to the Roland Mouret woman. Today, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of joy at the thought of what is to come at 952 Madison, my soon-to-be New York home, and count myself exceedingly lucky to experience this next chapter of my working life with all of you here today.

The Spring/Summer 2015 collection highlighted relaxed silhouettes, in both evening gowns & dresses and daytime separates. The Rosie Assoulin design aesthetic toes the line between the romantically fantastical and reliably practical. This “wardrobe” that she shares with the world is a blend of luxurious sensuality, sculpted ease, and bold lines.

This season, Sofie D’Hoore takes a twofold approach to easy summer dressing with a collection that spans a myriad of contrasting yet compatible cuts, colours, and textures. On the one hand, a group of directional pieces takes inspiration from traditional garments fashioned flat without darts or shaping. On the other, an artfully constructed ensemble of complementary dresses and separates is offered in a wide range of fabrics and finishes.

SS15 sees Sophia looking towards the jungle for inspiration. Wild animals and vegetation inspire an array of prints and motifs that are deftly worked into the collection. The season begins with the imaginative artworks of Henri Rausseau and Henri Matisse inspiring the playful yet sophisticated mini-works-of-art of this collection.

Whilst keeping the touch of femininity she posses an almost robotic nature with a sensual unpinning elegance.First impressions are met witha bold statement.
Translucent sequins, marbled printed lace with sharp cut lines and panels of cold mesh are re-modeled to a couture contemporary aesthetic.
New techniques, fresh tailored suiting in monochrome tones, full skirts and boxy t’s in optical grids are intermixed with multiple forms of mesh on mesh for Maticevski’s spring summer 15’ ready to wear collection.

This year sees the opening of my first retail space in London – an important step that has inspired and pushed me to focus on the DNA of my brand more than ever. Exploring the essence of this identity led me to look at my signature and redefine it in a fresh interpretation that sits within the core of my runway collection for the first time in many seasons. Informed by these new shapes was the idea of creating an eclectic uniform in the form of an exact, yet wearable wardrobe that embodies the evolution of the collection. I have pushed myself with new techniques and silhouettes that I believe give a modern sense of purpose and precision.

Zac Posen Spring 2015 is a study in stylized architecture. Tailored classicism is presented by lines and tech-lux fabrications that simplify or surprise as the constructions dictate.Says Zac Posen, “The collection responds to modernist ideals of purity and refinement through a rhetoric of craft and the celebration of melodic lines. I was inspired by how Constantin Brancusi would take the seam for a walk on a woman’s body.”

With a world in turmoil and full of so much conflict, it feels relevant to evoke a certain peaceful naivety with this collection.”
Traveling in Venice, London and Paris last spring brought a sense of nostalgia for years spent in Europe at a youthful moment full of romance and optimism.
Venice – where the art of perfume making was born inspired so much of this collection. As scent is the most powerful sensory link to memory, the show space is scented with a fragrance meant to transport the imagination.
