Greetings from Sri Jnanakshi Vidyaniketan!

Jayendra Puri Mahaswamiji, we are very happy to release the 'newsletter' (Sept –
Oct ) of our school Sri Jnanakshi Vidyaniketan.
We are happy to share a snapshot of the various events and programmes that
happened at school.
TEACHERS DAY ON 5TH SEP 2019.
Teachers’ Day was celebrated traditionally by students in traditional dress with
“Kalasha” where the procession of teachers was led to the venue after the
plantation of saplings , department wise. The chief guest was our Honorary
Secretary Shri HAYAGREEVACHAR. Plethora of games for teachers were
organized .
The Principal in her talk urged the teachers to be loving and caring towards the
children. The staff then proceeded to the temple to receive blessings from Matha
Rajarajeshwari. HIS HOLINESS SRI JAYENDRA PURI SWAMIJI addressed the
teachers and spoke on OUR DHARMA. He also mentioned that we should
remember our teachers and their sacrifices.
DWITHIYA SOPAN TEST FOR SCOUTS AND GUIDES
Scouts and guides appeared for the Dwithiya Sopan Exam Conducted In Milind
Public School, Magadi Road From 6th Sept 2019 To 8th Sept 2019 Scouts and
Guides
SANSKRIT COMPETITIONS
Students from Class VIII, IX , X participated in Sanskrit competitions on 9th Sept
2019 at Shankara Mutt organized by Karnataka Samskrita University, Chamrajpet.
HINDI DIVAS ON 12TH SEPT 2019
Hindi Divas was celebrated on 12.09.2019. The theme for the day was “National
Symbols”. This theme was selected to bring in the awareness of National Symbols
amongst the children and instil patriotism. Programme concluded with the dance
which was a tribute to our soldiers. The chief guest for the programme was Smt
Jayalakshmi Prakash Principal, SJV. In her speech she motivated children to
develop patriotism and love towards Hindi language. She also appreciated their
performance.
GANDHI JAYANTHI ON 02 OCTOBER 2019
The 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji was marked and celebrated in a grand manner
at Sri Jnanakshi Vidyaniketan. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp and
bhajans were sung by children.
In a bid to spread the Gandhiyan legacy and values of life, a dance drama “ The Journey
of Gandhi from Moniya to Mahathma” was enacted by the children enthralling the
audience.
Interesting facts about Gandhiji were shared by our Ex Administrator Wg.Cdr K R
Dwarakanath (Retd) and principal Smt Jayalakshmi Prakash.
Finally the celebration was concluded by an inspiring talk by the Honorary Secretary
Shri Hayagreevachar. He emphasized the importance of Swaccha Bharath. Sweets were
distributed at the end of celebration.
• VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK
BHEL’s Vigilance team conducted competitions in our school premises on 21st
October 2019. Competitions such as speech in English, Hindi and Kannada for the
classes 8th , 9th and 10th and Poster making competition for the classes 5th , 6th and
7th . Valedictory function was organised on 23rd October 2019 in NIE hall. The chief
guest SHRI SENTHIL KUMAR, Addl Gen.Manager and Chief Vigilance officer at BHEL
enlightened the gathering by telling the basic idea behind celebrating Vigilance
Awareness week. He also emphasised the importance of integrity in all spheres of
life. Prizes were awarded to the students. Principal Smt Jayalakshmi P appreciated
the task taken by the team MR.SIDDARAMAPPA, Sr, Dy Gen Manager, Vigilance
dept, Mr.RAVEENDRA ,Dy Gen Manager and MR.RAMACHANDRA , Sr. Vigilance
Officer in spreading awareness in school students who are future citizens of India.
Function concluded by school song followed by National anthem.
