"I had less homework in University. #yfc #ItsKillingMe #facepalm #tears" A colleague of mine in Youth Unlimited posted this earlier this year. I felt like it really captured how I've been feeling the past couple of months. I've spent a good part of the beginning of this year writing papers, doing assignments, reading books and taking tests. This was quite the leap for me, not having to do anything quite so cerebral in over a decade. My mind felt rusty at first, but it was nice having to stretch myself again. All of this is part of Youth Unlimited's credentiallining process. Credentialing is a time of reflection, assessment, affirmation and recommendations regarding a person's call to and gifting for the work of YU. It’s somewhat equivalent to being ordained by the local church. By the time this letter gets to you, I should have completed the final credentialing meeting. Yeaaah!!! March break saw Revolution(s) engage in a joint day camp with Youth Unlimited's Roots program in the Flemingdon Park area. This gave us a chance to teach some basic repair skills and discuss youth leadership to a group of Jr high kids. The camp was anything but predictable, with attendance fluctuating day to day and spring snowstorms forcing us to cancel an afternoon of the camp. Despite these minor hiccups, it was a great chance for some of our youth to help lead and interact with youth from another community. It was also amazing seeing how God has been working in the youth of Flemingdon Park, making them into a redemptive presence in their community. As a team we've been trying to discern where God wants us to go with this ministry. The parable of the talents is a passage that seems to be speaking to us. Figuring out how it applies to the ministry is the next challenge. Are we being good and faithful servants with what God has entrusted us? Or are we burying what he has given us in the sand, not putting it to good use? We really want to be obedient to where God is wants us to go. Please pray for my co-worker Jesse and I to be attentive to where the spirit is leading. Blessings, Clem Clem’s Revolution(s): Spring 2014

"I had less homework in University. #yfc #ItsKillingMe #facepalm #tears"

A colleague of mine in Youth Unlimited posted this earlier this year. I felt like

it really captured how I've been feeling the past couple of months.

Blessings,

Clem
