Principal’s report

Spring Fair

Luckily the rain went away at just the right time to

ensure we had a fantastic Spring Fair! The children had

a wonderful time. A huge thank you to all of the

parents and staff who assisted in running our stalls and

to the many Junee businesses who donated items for

our chocolate wheel prizes. Special thanks to Billy

Currie who performed throughout the afternoon and

evening showcasing his amazing talents; and to the

talented dance troupe from Mina’s Dance Academy. A

wonderful event made possible by the generosity and

hard work of many.

The giant slide was a very popular place!

Merit & Behaviour Surveys

Just a reminder that we would value your thoughts and

suggestions on our current Merit and Behaviour

system. Copies of the survey are on our Skoolbag app,

on our website or from the office. Surveys are due

back by Friday 27 November.

What’s happening in our school?

PSSA Red Ball Tennis

Congratulations to our first ever tennis team! Tom

Fitzgerald, Jake Vanzanten, Lachlan Payne & Patrick

Tulaga last week competed at the PSSA Tennis Finals in

Wagga. The boys faced some stiff competition in their

games against various schools ranging from Ardlethan

to Henty to Leeton. Whilst our team was unsuccessful

in making it through to the finals, they played their

best and displayed tremendous sportsmanship and

team work. Well done boys!

Tennis Convenor, John Ferguson presented our team

with their certificates of participation

Spring Fair

Thank goodness the blue skies appeared just at the

right time! Our Spring Fair was a wonderful event

enjoyed by many children and adults alike. A huge

thank you to our wonderful P&C committee for their

tireless efforts leading up to and on the day of our

Spring Fair.

Thank you to the wonderful parents and teachers who

gave up their time to assist at or run stalls.

Last but not least thank you to the wonderful Junee

community for you donations and support!

The giant slide was lots of fun!

Thank you Angela and ponies!

Our new tackle bags received a huge workout!

Destini looks pretty pleased with her face painting –

thanks Paula!

fun on the jumping castle

Face painted Lilly – now time for hair spray!

Clay Workshop – our finished products!

Last term every class had the fantastic opportunity to

work with Wagga artist Kath Powderly. During these

workshops, the children worked with clay, creating a

variety of Australian birds. It has taken Kath quite a

white to fire them all in her kilns but this week they

have been returned and are amazing!

Lilly-May, Tahlia & Matilda show off a few of our clay

birds.

money will be spent.

we be wrapping up our Spring Fair, but Mrs Thurston
