As we go about our business throughout the days and weeks of this year please remember the Brothers who have difficulty in making it to Lodge for one reason or another. If you know someone who has not been to Lodge in a while, call them and invite them to Lodge. If there is a concern by them with getting to Lodge please assist by ensuring a ride. We also need to check in on those who cannot make it and make sure they are alright, including the Widows of our Brothers.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our annual Shrimp Boil Fundraiser. This helped support our Lodge. It was a great success, and could not have been done without the help of many. Thank you to JW Brother Glenn and all that helped by purchasing tickets, prepare, cook, set up the Lodge with decorations and then clean the Lodge. It is truly appreciated.

I want to remind everyone that we have a pancake breakfast the third Saturday of every month from 8 am until 10 am. The cost is only six dollars, so bring your family and friends for some good food and great fel lowship.

We had three Brothers stand Proficient and on the 15th of April, we had a Fellowcraft Degree and Broth er's Smith, Weltzen-Torano and Wilson were passed to the Degree ofFellowcraft. Congratulations Brothers and well done to the Degree team.

This year, due to the Pandemic our annual Scholarship announcement school visits were cancelled. The recipients for our Scholarships were informed by telephone and email by our Secretary. It is very re warding to know that Acacia Lodge is working hard to raise money to help support local students in their futures. We have been giving Scholarships to local seniors for thirty -five years, and in total have given out over $300 ooo. Well done Brethren, you should be proud of this achievement.

On Thursday, May aoth, we will be having our Law Enforcement Appreciation Night where we invite sev eral local Law Enforcement Agencies to the Lodge in order to present them with Officer of the Year plaques for their Agencies. We also use this evening to give out our Scholarships to the seniors. This is an open meeting for everyone, so please try to attend. It's almost that time of the year for our Annual Grand Communication of The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Florida which will be held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando on May 30, 31, and June 1. If you are a Master Mason and wish to go, contact our Secretary, RW Paul Friend, for more information.

We had our DDGM visit on the 1st of April. The well attended meeting was informed by him that he was pleased to inform us that we are in really good hands under the diligent and watchful eye of our Secre tary and Treasurer. A Notable Mason, Dr. Joseph Fort Newton said that "The secret of Masonry, like the secret oflife, can be known only by those who seek it, serve it, and live it. It cannot be uttered; it can only be felt and acted. It is, in fact, an open secret, and each man knows it according to his quest and capacity. Like all things worth know ing, no one can know it for another and no man can know it alone."

If you know of a house bound Brother or Widow, please check on them or if you cannot, let our Secretary or Chaplain, RW Frank E Kiefer know on 772-341-7806.
