    TOM ANTHONY, VP, Product Strategy

Hello, I’m Tom Anthony, Vice President of Procurement Product Strategy at Oracle.

In the next few minutes, I’ll highlight some of the Oracle Procurement Cloud enhancements delivered in update 20C. They are Project Manufacturing and Maintenance Procurement, Associate a Master Contract with a Purchase Order, RFQ or Auction as the Next Round After Two-Stage Evaluation, and Negotiation Line Internal Cost Factors.

Let’s take a look at Project Manufacturing and Maintenance Procurement.

Manufacturing and maintenance have introduced the ability to reference project information on a work order.

In procurement you can now make purchases charged to projects with references to a work order. This adds to the existing set of features built to enable project-driven supply chains to better manage their project purchases.

    UPDATE 20C

    Spotlight on

  • Now let’s look at the ability to Associate a Master Contract with a Purchase Order.

In a previous update, new capabilities were added to reference a master contract to a purchase agreement. In 20C you will have the ability to reference a master contract directly on a purchase order. This is helpful when the terms and conditions of a master contract govern the terms of certain purchases.

Now let’s look at RFQ or Auction as Next Round After Two-Stage Evaluation.

Two-stage RFQs support shortlisting suppliers through a controlled sealed negotiation process that separates the technical and commercial evaluation. Only suppliers who pass both the technical and commercial evaluation

  • Only suppliers who pass both the technical and commercial evaluation rounds can participate in competitive bidding. With this feature, you can now initiate an Auction or RFQ as the next round of a two-stage RFQ. This helps streamline competitive bidding with your shortlisted suppliers.

Lastly, let’s review Negotiation Line Internal Cost Factors.

In 20C, you will now be able to utilize internal costs that are applied to negotiation lines and lots. This allows you to capture additional costs such as retooling or other factors that may impact your award decisions.

  • You can use these internal cost factors to drive competitive bidding or for internal analysis and they are shown as transformed rank and price.

You control whether the transformed amount, rank, or overall rank are shown to suppliers, depending on the nature of the negotiation and your business practices.
