Glossary

Creatine: An organic acid formed and stored in the body that supplies energy to muscle cells. Meat and fish are good dietary sources of creatine.

Doping: Refers practice of taking drugs in sports competition, including anabolic steroids and other substances forbidden by international sports organizations

The right diet for athletes of high performance is a balance diet in terms of quantity and quality that include the intake a lot of nutrients to provide enough energy to cover the loss caused for physical activity. By the way the amount varies depending on the athlete's sex, age, height, weight, body composition, stage of growth, level of fitness and the intensity, frequency and duration of physical exercise. These elements are fundamental to align the optimum performance of each athlete without cause diseases or injury, for this reason before to practice high level competitions its better consult a doctor and a nutritionist.

Colombia has a rugged topography, varied landscapes and rich regions on flora and fauna. You can experience some unforgettable thrills; you can discover an exuberant nature where the practice of extreme sports as rafting is an extraordinary experience. Rafting or white water rafting is a recreational outdoor activity using an inflatable raft to navigate a river; this activity is usually done on rough white water, in order to thrill the raft passengers.

Wearing the appropriate clothing is very important to keep comfortable yourself throughout the river rafting trip and protect you from getting hypothermia or other health risks or conditions. You can wear Wetsuit, dry suit or bathing suit; footwear suitable for this activity are Neoprene bootees, tennis shoes, or sandals with straps, wear these shoes can protect your feet from cuts and abrasion, in case you need to walk on the river floor with rocks and sharp stones. A shatterproof helmet and wearing a life jacket are important pieces of safety Rafting Gear. Having the right type of clothing greatly decreases the risks and the hassles, making it a safer and enjoyable sport for everyone.

WHERE DO YOU GO RAFTING IN COLOMBIA?

In several Colombian regions you can practice this sport, for example the surroundings of Bogotá, the departments of Santander and Huila, and the Café Triangle, among them.Rafting on the Magdalena River near the municipality of San Agustín, you have the opportunity to admire the splendor of natural landscapes like the Colombian Massif. The Río Negro in Tobia very close to Bogotá in the municipalities of Nimaima and Útica, runs the Río Negro. The Barragán River runs through an area known as the Eje Cafetero. It crosses several municipalities in the department of Quindío and allows for easy, safe rafting. The area surrounded by coffee bushes and fruit trees it is complemented by extreme experiences aboard of a raft. Rafting is an extreme sport that can be dangerous, but it is considered a great experience to practice at many places in different countries.

Extreme sports are activities in which you can experience strong emotions and release adrenaline. Climbing is one of the most interesting extreme sports, because is a mixture of adrenaline and nature. This sport is the activity to ascend a mountain, at the same time it be relaxed seeing the nature while enjoy a great adventure. What but is Climbing?

Climbing is an extreme sport. There are two categories: for recreation and professionally, as well as training activities for the ARMY.Climbing is the activity to ascend a mountain. The most important climbing activities are: -Rock Climbing: Ascending rock formations,-Ice Climbing: Ascending ice or snow formations using special equipment like EQUIPMENT:Ice Climbing: ice axes and crampons.Rock Climbing: climbing shoes and a chalk bag. There are two categories of climbing: The first category is for recreation, it is just for fun and you don’t need to know any specific technique about climbing. The second category is the professional mode, in this case the person must be a professional, and also the person has to know about climbing techniques, use more specialized equipment, and learn about knots and ropes. There are many types of climbing, but the most important climbing activities are Rock Climbing and ice Climbing. Ice Climbing is the activity to ascend an ice or snow formation using a special equipment, and Rock Climbing is the type of climbing in rock formations. Climbing is a high risk sport, for this reason is necessary to use safety equipment with all the requirements to ensure the safety of the climbers. Rock climbing requires climbing shoes, chalk bag, ropes, bolts, nuts, hexes and camming, and for Ice Climbing the most important equipments are ices

Some places to Rock Climb in Colombia are Suesca, La Calera, el Peñol in Medellin, and Tayrona Park in the north of Colombia. The best place in Colombia to practice Ice Climbing is “La sierra nevada del Cocuy”. There are economic plans that offer all the security equipment with a specialized guide. All you need to climb is to have an attitude of adventure, love the nature, enjoy the fresh air and have a good safety equipment … Why don't you try it?

In conclusion the skydiving is an excellent sport to practice, although you should only take cautions for you don’t have accidents how Maria or juan. I forget to say in Bogota is different places to practice and you don’t need to pay money, because the government support these activities for young people or old.

These factors help you to be safe when you practice, although you should take a course before to prevent accidents, you can take courses in: Valle Del Cauca. Bogota.Medellin.Antioquia.Santander.Different extremely sports to practice, but you are asking why you should practice this sport, the reasons are the next:When you are practicing skydiving, you are doing exercise all time, also you feel as a new person and you forget your problems by an instant, although you should take care, because a lot of people die when she are practicing for example:: “ Maria was 25 years old, she was a nurse, she worked in the hospital San Isidrio in Ibague. She was on her vacation, when she met to Juan, he is a paratrooper and he wanted that she flew with him. Maria.
