The Waleed Alshemais National Sportsbike Championship is organised and promoted by Furiosa Racing, while being administered by Dubai Autodrome Motor Sports Club (DAMC) in accordance with the requirements of the Emirates Moto Sports Organisation (EMSO), (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Regulations of the FIA and FIM). These championship regulations and further championship bulletins or event supplementary regulations will be issued officially by Furiosa Racing. 1.2. The contact details for any further information, queries or to register an interest in competing in the championship are as follows: [email protected] 2. Competitor Eligibility 2.1. A national motorcycle competition licence will entitle the holder to enter the motorcycle on which he/she will personally take part in the event. Any other organisation, company, sponsor or person must obtain an entrants licence by making separate application to EMSO. The entrant is the legal entity who is responsible for all acts and/or omissions of the competitor/ and any person connected with the entry. A competitor must ensure that any entrant is aware of this. The maximum number of words permitted in an entrant’s title is six. Only one Entrant’s licence may be used in connection with an entry. An international entrant’s licence is valid for all events both inside and outside the UAE. A National Entrant’s Licence is valid for all events inside the UAE. Competitors who intend to use this licence internationally must advise EMSO at the time of application. 2.2. Entrants/competitors must surrender an appropriate national motorcycle competition licence for verification at signing on for each event.

1.TitleJurisdiction

2.3. Those holding national motorcycle competition licenses issued by EMSO may onlycompete in events sanctioned by EMSO, or in the case of events outside of the UAE, thoseunderthejurisdictionofanotherFIMaffiliatedfederationbywhichEMSOwillissueanNOCforthecompetitortopartakeintheparticularevent.

2.4. Pleasekeep inmindthatall licenses issuedthroughout theyearexpireon31DecembereachyearandEMSOdonotissuetemporary/singleevent/onedaylicenses.

2.5.Alllicenceapplicationsmustcontainthefollowing:• Completedandsignedapplicationform• Passportstylephoto• Validpassportcopy• ValidUAEresidencevisacopy(IfnotaGCCNational)• Dependingontheapplicant,youmayrequireamedicalcertificate(detailssuppliedin

relevantapplicationform)

2.6. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure that their motorcycle(s) comply with theconditionsofeligibilityandsafetyatalltimesduringqualifyingandracingforallUAEnationalchampionshipevents.

3.Registration

3.1. Alleligiblecompetitorsmustregisterforthechampionship inadvanceofparticipating intheir first event by returning a fully completed championship registration form to FuriosaRacingadministrationsecretary ([email protected])alongwithanydocumentsrequiredunderthechampionshiptechnicalregulations,accompaniedwiththechampionshipclubfeeof1,500AED.

Anychangeofcompetitornameormotorcyclewillrequirecompletinganadditionalform.Anentrywillonlybedeemedcompleteonceallthecorrect informationhasbeensubmittedandacceptedbytheorganiser.

3.2. To be eligible to register for the championship, competitorsmust be in possessionof avalidmotorcyclecompetitionlicensewiththeminimumofaNationalGrade,issuedbyEMSOoran equivalent license issued by an ASN/FMN in the “MENA Zone” with the correct startpermission(NB:startpermissiontobeacquiredfromlicenseissuerfornonUAElicenseholdersandistoberequestedbytherideralongwiththeSupplementaryRegulations).

3.3.“Wildcard”entrieswillbepermittedforamaximumof1round,thereafterthecompetitorwillneedtopaytheseasonclubchampionshipfeeof1,500AEDinordertobeeligiblefortheremainderofthechampionshiproundsduringthe2020/21season.

3.4. Competitionnumberswillbethepermanentnumberallocatedtothecompetitorforthechampionship season, relevant to their class. Although a preference can be requested, theallocation of these numberswill be at the absolute discretion of the organiser and reservedbasedonafirstcomefirstservebasiswhencompletingthenecessaryseasonregistration,alongwiththeir1,500AEDchampionshipfee.

3.5. The organiser reserves the right to refuse registrations or impose any conditions uponregistrationattheirabsolutediscretion.

4.ChampionshipEvents

4.1.Thechampionshipwillbecontestedoverascheduled10racesat5rounds.

4.2.Allcompetitorswillberesponsibleforsubmittinganentryformforeacheventandcomplywiththesupplementaryregulationsissuedbytheorganisers.

4.3. The organisers reserve the right to amend the calendar should circumstance dictate. Insuch circumstances all registered competitors will be notified by the issue of an officialchampionshipbulletin.

5.Awards

5.1.Allawardswillbeprovidedbytheorganiser.

5.2.Foreachrace,trophiesto1st,2ndand3rdwillbeissued.Therelevantclasseswillbe600ccSuperstock and Rookie CUP (Rookie – shall be deemed any competitor who is holding amotorcyclecompetitionlicenceforthefirsttime,withinORoutsideoftheUAE).

5.3.Bonuses;theorganiser/promoter/sponsorsreservetherighttoprovideadditionalawardsfor individualraceswithinthechampionship.Suchadditionalawardswillbeannounced inanofficialchampionshipbulletin.

5.4. Presentations; all winnerswill be presentedwith their trophies immediately after eachraceunlessotherwise instructedby theofficials.Attendance ismandatory forawardwinningcompetitors. Failure todo so,may result in lossofpodiumand/or championshippoints.Anyadditionalawards/bonusesmaybedistributedsubsequently.

5.5. Podium; all the winners who are requested to be on the podium, need to wear theprovidedsponsorcaps, their full racingsuit,with theexceptionofhelmetsandglovesoranyotherdevices.

5.6. Podium presentation; all podium finisheswill have amaximumof 15minutes availablefromwhenthechequeredflagisshowntothetimewhentheywillberequiredatthepodium.

5.7. Title to all awards; in the event of any results being revised after any provisionalpresentations and such revisions affecting the distribution of awards, the competitorsconcernedarerequiredtoreturnsuchawardsingoodconditiontotheorganiserwithin7daysofbeingrequestedto.

6.RaceEntryProcedures

6.1.Supplementaryregulationsandentryformswillbedistributedbytheraceorganiser.

6.2. Competitors are responsible for submitting completed entry formswith the appropriateentryfeespriortotheentryclosingdatespecifiedbythesupplementaryregulations.

6.3. All correct and complete entrieswill be acknowledged advising the competitors of theiracceptance.

6.4. There will be no refunds if competitors withdraw less than 5 days prior to any racemeeting.

6.5.Lateentries,willbeacceptedatthediscretionoftheorganiseratanadditionalcostof250AED.Thoseentriesreceived5daysandlessbeforetheracemeetingshallbeconsideredaslate.

6.6. Incorrector incompleteentries (includingcompetitor tobenominatedentries)are tobeheld inabeyanceuntil theyarecompleteandcorrect.Thedateofreceipt foracceptance, forentrypurposes,shallbethedateonwhichthesecretaryofthemeetingreceivesthemissingorcorrectedinformationorfee.

6.7.Anywithdrawalofentryorcompetitor/motorcyclechangesmadeaftertheacceptanceofanyentrymustbenotifiedtothesecretaryofthemeetinginwriting.Ifcompetitor/motorcyclechanges aremade after close of entry and prior to the race day, the competitor concernedmustapply(inwriting)forapprovalofacceptancefromtheorganiser.

7.Briefings

7.1.AllBriefingsaremandatory.Organiserswillnotifycompetitorsofthetimesand locationsforallbriefingsinthesupplementaryregulationsforallmeetings.

7.2.Competitorswhoarelateforbriefing’swillreceiveafineofAED500.

7.3.CompetitorswhodonotattendbriefingswillbereferredtotheStewardswhowillimposeaminimum penalty of AED 1,000. An additional briefing will have to be given to thosecompetitorsthatmissedordidnotattendtheoriginalbriefingatasuitabletimenominatedbytheStewards.

7.4.Pleaseensurethatyousignthe“BriefingAttendanceRegister”beforeleavingthebriefingroom.

8.PracticeandQualification

8.1.Shouldanypracticesessionbedisrupted, theClerkof theCourseshallnotbeobliged toresumethesessionorre-runsessionstoachievethechampionshipcriteriaandthedecisionoftheClerkoftheCourseshallbefinal.

8.2.Shouldtheneedarisetostopapracticesession,redlightswillbeswitchedonatthestartlineandaroundthecircuitandredflagswillbedisplayedatmarshals’signalingpostsaroundthecircuit.This is thesignal forall competitors toceaseracingspeeds, toslowtoasafeandreasonablepaceandtoreturntothepitsorbepreparedtostop.

8.3. Every competitormust complete aminimumof 3 laps practice on themotorcycle to beracedand in thecorrect session inorder toqualify. TheClerkof theCourse/Stewardsof themeetingshallhavetherighttoexcludeanycompetitorwhosepracticetimesorracingconductareconsideredunsatisfactoryorunsafe.

8.4. The grid for the first race will be formed by times set during qualifying practice.Competitorswhoqualifybutdonotsetatimewill takepositionatthebackofthegrid inanordertobesetbytheClerkoftheCourse.

8.5.Unlessotherwiseadvisedbyanofficialbulletin,thegridforthesecondracewillbeformedbythe finishingorder in the first race.Non-finisherswillbepositionedbehindall finishers, inreverseorderofretirement.

8.6. Followingthechequeredflag/finishflagallcompetitorsmustmaintainracingspeedforafurther 250meters past the finish line (Dubai Autodrome-marshals post 2) and then reducespeedgradually.

8.7.Competitorsmustkeeptotheracinglinetheyareonandnotmove/veeracrossthetrack(i.e.tothepitwall).

8.8.TheClerkoftheCourse/Stewardsshallhavetherighttopenaliseuptoexclusionanyriderwhoseridingisconsideredtobeunsatisfactory.

9.MinimumRaceLength

Thestandardscheduledracedurationshallnormallybeapproximately18minutesbutshouldany racedistancebe reducedat thediscretionof theClerkof theCourseorStewardsof themeeting,itshallstillcountasafullpointsscoringround.

10.Starts

10.1.Allracestartcountdownsaretohaveaminimumelapsedperiodof3minutesfromthetimethatallmotorcyclesarereleasedfrompitlaneuntilforminguponthegridtothestartofthe green flag lap(s), in the formation as according to the qualification/first race stipulatedpositions.

10.2. All races will have standing starts unless specified otherwise in the supplementaryregulations.Theminimumcountdownprocedures/audiblewarningssequenceshallbe:•1minutetostartofgreenflag/pacelap-startengines/cleargrid•30Seconds–visibleandaudiblewarningsforthestartofgreenflag/pacelap

10.3.Theuseoftyreheating/heatretentiondevices,tyretreatmentsarestrictlyprohibitedonthegrid.

10.4.Anymotorcyclesremovedfromthegridafterthe1-minutestageorriddenintothepitson the green flag lap shall be held in the pit lane. They may start the race after the lastmotorcycletotakethestartfromthegridhaspassedthestartlineorpitlaneexitwhicheveristhelateratthediscretionoftheclerkofcourse.

10.5.Anycompetitorsunabletostartthegreenflag/pacelapwillberequiredtoindicatetheirsituationand/oranycompetitorsunabletomaintaingridpositionsonthegreenflaglap,totheextentthatallothermotorcyclesareaheadofthem(exceptthose inthesamepredicament),maycomplete thegreen flag lapbutmust remainat the rearof the last rowof thegridbutaheadofanymotorcyclestobestartedfromthepitlaneorfromatimedelay.

10.6.Excessiveweavingtowarm-uptyresusingmorethan50%ofthetrackwidthandfallingbackinordertoaccelerateandpracticestarts,isstrictlyprohibited.

10.7. Standing start: After the green flag lap has been completed, and motorcycles havereturnedtotheirgridpositions,andthestarterissatisfiedthatthemotorcyclesareready,a5secondboardwillbeshownto indicate that thestart lightsare imminent.Fivesecondsafterthisboardiswithdrawntheredlightswillcomeonandbetweentwoandsevensecondslaterthe red lightswillbeextinguished tosignal thestartof the race. In theeventofanystartinglightsfailure,the“starter”willreverttousingthenationalflag.

10.8.Riderswhofallfromtheirmotorcyclemustreturntothepitsviaambulanceandarenotpermitted to continue in the practice, qualifying session or race and until passed fit by amedicalofficerandthemotorcyclere-inspectedandclearedbythescrutineers.

Anyinfringementofthisrulewillresultintheriderbeingdisqualifiedfromtheremainderofthepractice,qualifyingsessionorrace.

11.RaceStopProcedures

11.1.Shouldtheneedarisetostopanyrace,redlightswillbeswitchedonatthestartlineandredflagswillbedisplayedatthestartlineandatallmarshalssignalingpostsaroundthecircuit.This is the signal for all riders to cease circulating at racing speeds, to slow to a safe andreasonablepaceandreturntoParcFermé.ThedesignatedParcFerméareaisdirectlybehindthetechnicalbayasillustratedinAppendixA.

CaseA–Lessthantwolapscompletedbytheraceleader

Theracewillbenullandvoid.Theracewillrestartfromtheoriginalgridpositions.Competitorsunabletotaketherestartmaybereplacedbyreserveswhowillstartfromthebackofthegridinreserveorder.Gapsonthegridshouldnotbeclosedup.ThelengthoftherestartedracewillbedeterminedbytheClerkoftheCourse.

Intheintervalbetweenstoppingandrestartingtherace,motorcyclesmayreturntothepitareafor maintenance. Non-runners at the time of stopping can restart from the pit lane behindthosereferredtoabove.TheClerkoftheCoursemayorderthatthedurationofthesecondpartor re-run of any race shall be of a shorter distance than originally scheduled, or may beabandonedaltogether.

CaseB–Morethantwolapscompletedbytheraceleaderbutlessthan75%ofthescheduleddistanceTheracewillrestartfromagridsetoutbythefinishingorderofpartone.Theresultoftheracewillbethefinishingorderofparttwo.ThelengthoftherestartedracewillbedeterminedbytheClerkoftheCourse.Onlymotorcycleswhichareundertheirownpowerattheshowingoftheredflagwillbeclassifiedtorestartthesecondpartoftherace.Intheintervalbetweenstoppingandrestartingtherace,motorcyclesmayNOTreturntothepitarea formaintenance or fuel but need to proceed through to Parc Fermé. The Clerk of theCourse may order that the duration of the second part or re-run of any race shall be of ashorterdistancethanoriginallyscheduled,ormaybeabandonedaltogether.

CaseC-Morethan75%ofracecompleted

Anyracestoppedaftertheleaderhascompleted75%ofitsdurationmaybeconsideredtohavebeen completed, unless the Clerk of the Course, in consultation with the Stewards of themeeting,deemsitappropriatetorestarttherace.Ifnotrestarted,theresultwillbebasedontheorderofcrossingthefinishlineatonelaplessthanatthetimeofthefirstshowingoftheredflag.Onlymotorcycleswhichareundertheirownpowerattheshowingoftheredflagwillbeclassified.

Ingeneral,noworkmaybecarriedoutonthegridunlessonthegroundsofsafetyandwiththeapprovaloftheClerkoftheCourse.

11.2. All motorcycles reported to have been involved in contact incidents during a race orpracticemustbepresentedtothescrutineerbeforecontinuingintheraceorpracticesessions.

12.TimingModules

12.1. Timing transponders: It is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure that they arefittedcorrectlyandfunctioningduringtheeventandreturnedattheendoftheevent.PleasekeepinmindthatyouracelicencewillberetaineduntilthetransponderisreturnedtoDAMC.

12.2.CompetitorswillbechargedbyDAMCforrepairorreplacementofthetranspondersduetoaccidentdamage,misuseorlossatanytimeduringtheseason.

12.3.Competitorsmustnotplaceelectronictimingequipmentwithinfivemetresoftheofficialstart/finishoranyothertiminglinesatanyeventorchampionshiptestsession/day.Anysuchteamequipmentplacedwithinthesezoneswillberemoved.

12.4. All competitors having preinstalled or permanent transponders fitted on theirmotorcycles,mustinformtheorganisersandregisterthetransponderswiththetimekeepers.

13.PitandPitLaneSafety

13.1.EntrantsmustcomplywithcircuitmanagementandDAMCsafetyregulationsatalltimes.

13.2.Theouterlanesaretobekeptunobstructedwithinpitlanetoallowthesafepassageofvehicles/motorcycles at all times. A speed limit, normally 60kph (36mph) unless otherwiseadvised by DAMC, will be applied in the pit lane andmust be respected at all times by allcompetingmotorcycles.Speedswillbemonitoredandanyonefoundtobeexceedingthespeedlimitmaybesubjecttopenalty,includingthepossibilityofamandatorystopandgopenalty.

14.Refuelling

14.1. This is only allowed in the fuel station or the pit garages. It is not envisaged thatmotorcycleswillberefuelledduringpracticesessionsorraces.Competitorsneedtoensurethatthereisoneadditionalpersonpresentwithafireextinguisherinhandnexttothemotorcyclewhile the motorcycle is being refuelled (deemed as refuelling once the tank cap or fuelcontainercaphasbeenopened).

14.2.ThefireextinguishertobeusedwillbethoseprovidedbytheDubaiAutodrome.Pleasepayattentionthatitisnotausedoneandthattheone-timesealhasnotbeenbroken.

14.3.Allmotorcyclesreturningtothepitgaragesmustdosobybeingpushedbackwardsintothepitgarageby theirpit crewor themselveswith themotorcycle inneutralandnotdrivenforwardunderitsownpowerfromthepitlaneside.

14.4.Itistheresponsibilityoftheteamtoclearthepitlaneinasafeandtimelymannersoasnottoobstructaccessdownthepitlaneforthefollowingracesorpracticesessions.

15.RaceFinishes

15.1.Safelyslowdownwhilemaintainingasteadypace,remainbehindanycompetitorsahead,returntothepitlanewithoutany“showboating”andfollowtheinstructionsofofficials.

15.2. TheClerkof theCourse reserves the right to reduce the time takenby competitors tocomplete thecool-down lapbydirecting thecompetitors to takeanalternative routeon thetrackunderthedirectionsofofficials.

15.3. Helmets should be worn at all times while on the circuit, until such time as themotorcycleisstationaryinthepitlane/ParcFermé.

15.4. Whenclassified finishersare requested toproceedtoParcFermé, themotorcycleswillneedtoremainthereforaminimumof30minutes.FailuretodosowillresultinafineofAED1,000andadditionalpenaltiesmaybeappliedatthediscretionoftheStewards.

16.Results

All practice time sheets, grids and race results are deemed to be provisional until allmotorcycles are released by the scrutineers after post practice/race scrutineering or thecompletionofanyjudicialortechnicalprocedures.

17.2.Ifaninfringementiscommittedandtheappropriatepenaltycannotbecarriedoutforanyreason, such as a time constraint, a timepenalty, equivalent to thepenalty time thatwouldhavebeenserved,maybeappliedatthediscretionoftheClerkoftheCourse/Stewards.

17.3. The encouragement of high standards of racing with appropriate respect for othercompetitorsandtheirmotorcycleswillbeconsideredparamount,andinthatrespect:

• Thechampionshiporganisersreservetherighttoimposefurtherpenaltiesoncompetitorsprovenby theofficialsof anymeeting tohavebehaved,onoroff the track, inamannerconsidered tohavebrought the championship intodisrepute. Thismay include individualrace bans, loss of points, awards, and/or season awards or exclusion from thechampionship.Incasesofrepeatedoffences,thechampionshiporganisersreservetherighttoexcludeanyothercompetitorfromafixednumberofracesorfromthechampionship.Insuchcasesnoothercompetitor’sscoreshallbeadjusted.Theorganisersreservetherighttoview data from any source on the motorcycle if data logging equipment is fitted, thisincludestheECU.Purposelydeletingdataisprohibited.

• Breaches of riding standards will be firmly dealt with. If it appears from official videorecordings or any other track evidence that there may have been a breach of ridingstandardsorbehaviour, onoroff the track, in amanner considered tohavebrought thechampionship intodisrepute, thechampionshiporganiserswillbeentitledtorequestthatthe championship stewards consider the inception of an enquiry into the matter,notwithstandingthattheClerkoftheCourseortheStewardsoftheeventmayormaynothavealready investigated the incident.Penaltiesmay include individual racebans, lossofpoints,awards,and/orendofseasonawardsorexclusionfromthechampionship.

• Competitorsmusttakenotethat if theirstartingpositionhasbeenpushedtothebackofthe grid forwhich ever reason, their ridingbehaviourwill be strictlymonitored from thestartintoturn1andfortheremainderofthefirstlap.

• MotorcycleswhichhavesustainedseveredamageorwhichtheappearanceisjudgedbytheClerk of the Course/Stewards/Scrutineer to be below an acceptable standard, may beexcludedfrompartakingfurther.Competitorsareexpectedtoaffectnecessaryrepairsfromprevious accidentdamageprior topresenting theirmotorcycle for scrutineering. In somecases, an instruction to carry out repairs will be issued by the championshiporganisers/scrutineer.

• Riders must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of any doubt: the white linesdefiningthetrackedgesareconsideredtobepartofthetrackbutthecurbsarenotandariderwillbe judged tohave left the track ifnopartof themotorcycle remains incontactwiththetrack.Shouldamotorcycleleavethetrackforanyreasonandwithoutprejudicetotheparagraphbelow,theridermayre-join.However,thismayonlybedonewhenitissafetodosoandwithoutgaininganyadvantage.

• Repetitionofseriousmistakesortheappearanceofalackofcontroloverthemotorcycle(suchasleavingthetrack)maybesubjecttopenalties.

18.InfringementsofTechnicalRegulations

18.1.Arisingfrompost-practice(qualifying),scrutineering,orjudicialaction

Minimumpenalty:Shouldamotorcyclebefoundineligibleafterpractice,butsubsequentlybeapproved before the race, the motorcycle will have all its practice times disallowed. Thestewardsmaypermit it to start fromthebackof thegridwitha10 seconddelayedstart (orfrom the pit lane exit) providing that it does not take the place of any motorcycle alreadyqualified,whetherareserveornot.

18.2.Arisingfrompost-racescrutineering,orjudicialaction

Minimumpenalty:Anycompetitorwhosemotorcycleisexcludedfromtheresultsofthemeetingwillbesubjecttothefollowingpenalties:

• Be excluded from the event forfeiting all championship points, prize money and otherawards.

• Foranyinfringementdeemedtobeofamoreseriousnature,theStewardsofthemeeting,maydecidetohavethecompetitorforfeitatotalofpointsequaltothoseobtainedfromtwofirstplaces(evenifthispenaltyresultsinaminustotalofpoints).

19.AdditionalChampionshiprequirements

19.1.Theorganisersandnominatedofficialswillhavethepowertoinvokeanyoftheseregulationsasappropriatetotheirareaofjurisdiction.

19.2.Competitorsareexpectedtoco-operatefullywiththewishesoftheorganisers,failuretodosowillbeseenasaninfringementoftheregulations.

19.3.Theimageofthechampionshipanditssponsorsmustbeupheldatalltimesbycompetitorsandtheirteams,atorawayfromtheeventsorotherwise.

19.4.Competitorsareexpectedtoattendeveryraceeventorchampionshipofficialbriefingorpublicityevent,asspecifiedbytheorganiser.

19.5.Inallcases,includingadisputeand/orlegalsituation,theEnglishlanguageinterpretationofallregulationswillapply.

20.TechnicalRegulations:

21.StandardChampionshipCommercialUndertakings

21.1. The terms of the commercial undertakings form part of the contract between theorganisers of the championship and the competitor(s). Registration for and entry into thechampionshipisconditionaluponthecompetitormeetingtheseconditions.

Abreachofanyofthecommercialundertakingsmayrenderthecompetitor/teamineligibleforcompetition and participation in these championships entirely at the discretion of thechampionship organisers. The onus will be on the competitor to ensure that all personsconnected with his/her team are aware of and comply with the requirements of thecommercialundertakings.

21.2.Forthepurposeofcommercialundertakingsonly,aregistrationoncemadeandacceptedshall constitute a legally binding contract. Acceptance of a registration is at the absolutediscretionofthechampionshiporganisers.

21.3. Theorganisersreservetherighttoaddorvarythecommercialregulationsattheirsolediscretionintheinterestsofpromotingthechampionship.Suchadditionsorvariationswillbenotifiedtocompetitorsviaanofficialchampionshipbulletin.

22.Television

22.1. The championship organisers, through any nominated film production companies holdexclusivebroadcast,recording,cable,satellite,digital,video,internetandinteractiverightsandrights to all other media to film and record the participation of the competitor, entrant,sponsor,andanyotherteammemberattheeventsandactivitiesthroughoutthechampionshipand to license, assign or otherwise deal with such rights and/or film and recording. Thecompetitoracceptswithout reservationor recourse thesurrenderofhis/her rights (ifany) insuchmatterswhichmaythenbeusedatthechampionshiporganiser’sdiscretion.

22.2. On-board cameras may be permitted, for team/personal use only and is not forbroadcasting, without the approval of the relevant organisers who may require additionalinformation.

22.3. Any competitors advised by the organisers that they are to carry on-board televisioncamera,mayberequiredtohavetheapprovedchampionshiplogoonthedashboard,visibletoaforward-facingon-boardcamera.

22.4. The decision for the positioning of this Logo rests solely with the organiser and theirnominatedfilmproductioncompany.Nootherpublicitymaterialvisibletoanon-boardcamerawillbeallowed.Anycompetitorwhofailstomeettheserequirementsmaybepenalised.

22.5. Competitors are obliged to assist in promotionof the championship by the grantingofinterviews when requested by the nominated film production company and any otherreasonablerequestsoftheorganisers.

23.AdvertisingandMotorcycleLivery

23.1. No alcohol or tobacco (or associated products) related advertising is permitted in anyformwithinthechampionship.

23.2. No advertising or statements on the race motorcycle or the competitors’ race suit ispermitted to conflict with the championship sponsors without written approval from theorganisers.

23.3. Noadvertisingorstatementsonthemotorcycle,or teammembers,oroncompetitors’racesuitsorteamclothingisallowedwhichmaybeconsideredunsuitableoroffensivetothepromoters,theorganisers,ortheirsponsorsandanyadvertisingmustrespectthepoliticalandreligioussensitivitiesoftheUAE.

23.4.Allmotorcyclesshallcarrythechampionshipsponsors’liveryanddecalingrequirementsinthecorrectlocations,withoutalterationandwithoutinterference.

23.5. Competitors’ownracemotorcycleliveryisexpectedtomeetthestandardsrequiredbytheorganisers.

23.6. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry into the championship/forbidparticipation or to hand over prizes/bonus awards if the livery does notmeet the standardsrequired. In addition, they reserve the right to specify competitors clothing requirements forpodiumceremoniesorotherpromotionaloccasions.

23.7. At thestartofeachevent,practice,qualifyingpracticeorrace, themotorcycleshallbeclean, smart and in good order. The organisers reserve the right to forbid motorcycles notmeetingthisrequirementfromtakingpartorremovethemfromthepaddock.

24.PromotionalActivities

24.1.Aspartofthechampionship,allcompetitorswillbeexpectedtoassisttheorganiserswiththe promotion of the championship, in particular they may be requested to:• Makeracemotorcyclesavailablefordisplayduringracemeetings/promotionalevents.

• Makemotorcyclesavailableand/orcompetitorsavailableinracesuitsonrequestfor“meetthepublic”promotionalopportunitiesduringtheraceweekendsoratothertimesduringtheseason.

24.2. All competitors required for podiumpresentations should attendwithout delay, at theplaceandtimespecifiedbytheorganisers.Sponsorscapsasdeterminedbythechampionshiporganisersareexpectedtobewornonthecompetitor’sheadandracesuitsshallbeworninthe“closed/normal”position.Failuretodosomaymeanforfeitinganychampionshipprize/awardsorpointsgainedatthatround.

24.3. Competitors are expected to attend the end of season awards ceremony in order toformally claim their awards. Non-attendance may mean forfeiture of awards/prizes, unlesspreviouslyagreedwiththepromoters.

24.4.Thechampionshiptitleandassociatedlogostylesmayonlybeusedwiththepriorwrittenapprovalofthechampionshiporganisers.

25.PaddockArrangements

25.1. The pit garage areas are intended to be working areas for the preparation of racemotorcycles.Spacewillbe limitedandcompetitorsshall followthe instructions issuedbythechampionship organisers and any detailed paddock plans issued by the championshiporganisers/DAMC,needtobecompliedwith inadditionto the instructions fromtherelevantstaff. Any support vehicle shall be parked where instructed by the organisers or theirrepresentatives.

25.2. The space allocated to a team in thepaddock area is strictly for race support vehiclesonly. It is expressly forbidden to use this space for hospitality or as a trade site area, unlesspermissionisgrantedbytheorganisers/DAMC.

25.3.Therewillbeaspeedlimitof20km/hinthepaddockarea.Theonlymovementofracemotorcyclespermitted ison thewaytoand fromscrutineering, to theassemblyareaandonthewaybackfromParcFerméunlessspecificallyrequestedbytheorganisers.

25.4.Ifamotorcycleisriddentothefuelstation,itmustbedonesocarefully,slowlyandwhilstusingahelmetatalltimes.

25.5.DetailedHealthandSafetyguidelinesmaybeissuedtocompetitorsinadvanceofthefirstmeeting.Theseareexpectedtobecompliedwithatalltimes.

25.6. All team branding, whether in the paddock or pit bay area shall have the writtenpermissionoftheorganisersbeforeitisdisplayed.

26.EnvironmentalawarenessFIM

27.Hospitality

27.1. Hospitality and entertaining to anyone other than team personnel by the provision offoodanddrinkisstrictlyprohibitedinpaddockareas.Eachteamispermittedtoprovidegeneralcatering for team personnel. Any requirement for external catering companies must beprovidedbythevenueonapplication(DAMC).

27.2.OpenflamedBBQ’sarenotpermittedintheracepaddockareauntiltheendofthedayafterthelastracehasfinished.

27.3. Hospitality areas are available atmostmeetings viaDAMC, subject to availability, andarrangements shall be made in advance via the circuit hospitality department and theappropriatefeespaid.

28.Miscellaneous

28.1.Competitorsagreetoauthorisetheorganiserstouseandlicensetheuseofimagesandrepresentatives of themotorcycles and competitors competing in the championship for thepurposesofproducingmerchandiseandpromotingthechampionship.

28.2. Competitors are advised that, unless requested otherwise, their information will bestoredinacomputerretrievalsystemandmaybeusedtopromotethechampionship.

28.3. The championship scrutineer and/orhis/hernominateddeputy shall be given freeandunrestrictedaccessatalltimesandatanylocationinordertoinspectormeasureorimpoundanycomponentfittedtoanymotorcycleregisteredwithinthechampionship. Inaddition, thiswillincludewildcardcompetitors.

31.Insurance

31.2.Intheeventofanaccident,itistheresponsibilityofthelicenceholderwhereapplicabletosettleallmedicalbillsfirstandthencontactEMSOtoobtainaclaimform.ClaimswillbesenttotheInsuranceproviderwiththerelevanthospitaldocumentationtoassesswhichpartofthepolicy is covered under the terms and conditions. The insurance policy provided by EMSOexceedstheminimumrequirementsetbytheFIAandFIM.

32.Anti-Doping

32.1. The FIM is affiliated to the International Olympic Committee, and therefore operatewithin the code of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).(www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/user_upload/65.720.10_En_AD_CODE_for_the_Web.pdf)

• It is the responsibility of the competitor to knowwhat can and can’t be ingested orused.Alwaysconsultyourdoctorifyouareunsure.

• ApplicantsusingsubstancesincludedintheWADAProhibitedlistwillnotbeaccepted,except with a valid Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) approved by the relevantcompetitorsdoctor.

32.2.Alcohol

• Forsafetyreasons,ridersmustnotparticipateincompetitioniftheyarefoundtohaveabloodalcoholconcentrationsuperiortothethresholdof0.10.g/L.

• The presence of alcohol in concentration higher than the threshold is prohibited inmotorcyclingsportduringthe“incompetition"period.Thisperiodisdeemedtobe12hoursbeforetheriderridesthemotorcycleforthefirsttimeduringthespecificeventand30minutesafterthelastraceinhis/herspecificcategory.

• A violation of this will result in the rider being immediately disqualified from therelevantevent.FurtherpenaltiesmaybeappliedatthediscretionstewardsandEMSO.

32.3.MedicationandDrugs

• Applicantswillnotbeacceptediftheyareusingmedicationincludingthoselegitimatelygivenbyahealthpractitionerbutmaycauseadversesideeffectsthatcouldposeariskto thesafetyof theriderorotherridersduringtheevent.This includesanydrugthatmay affect their ability to have full and complete control of a motorcycle duringcompetition.

• Foranysuchreasonthata ridermayneedtobetreatedwithaprohibiteddrugatanevent, it is required to submit a TUE immediately theday after theevent inorder toreceiveapprovalfromtheirrelevantdoctor.

32.4.Anaesthesia

• Riderswillnotbepermittedtoparticipateinpracticeorcompetitionwithin48hoursofreceivinggeneral,epidural,spinalorregionalanaesthesia.

32.5.Concussion

• Assessmentoftheinjuredriderandreturntocompetitionshouldbeinaccordancewiththeguidelinesfortheassessmentandmanagementofconcussion,ascontainedwithintheConsensusStatementOnConcussioninSport–The5thInternationalConferenceOnConcussioninSportheldinBerlin2016.

• If there is a suspected confusion once completing a recognised assessment such asSCAT5 or similar, the rider will immediately be removed from competition for theremainder of the specific event. Prior to returning, the riderwill need to provide thenecessary documentation from an assessment proving that he/she has returned tonormalneuro-psychologicalfunction.

32.6.Riderswithspecialmedicalrequirements

• Riderswithcertainmedicalconditionsandwhomayrequirespecificmedicaltreatmentintheeventofaninjuryorhavebeentohospitalinthelast12months,needtoinformtheorganiserbysubmittingthis informationwiththerelevantentrydocumentationaswellaswithintheirlicenceapplication(ifapplicableatthetime).

33.Protests,AppealsandCourtProcedures

33.1.Whereanoffence(below)iscommittedduringanyqualifyingsession(s)orthefirstrace,thenanypointsorawardsgainedforthequalifyingsession(s)andthefirstracewillbeforfeited.Whereanoffenceoccursduringanysubsequentracethenthepointssolelygainedforthatraceshallbeforfeited.

33.2. Should two separateoffencesbe committed, then all points shall be forfeited for thatwhole event, irrespective of the timing of the offence committed at that event. Where a“doubleheader”eventtakesplaceatthesamevenueoveraweekend,andisconductedastwoseparateracedays,thenthisregulationshallonlyapplytoeachdayindividually.

33.3.Theoffencesare:

• Recklessordangerousridinginthecourseofameeting• Carelessridinginthecourseofameeting• Ridinginamannernotcompatiblewithgeneralsafety

33.4. The Stewards of the championship reserve the right to impose further penalties oncompetitorsfoundtohavetransgressedanyofthetechnicalregulations.

33.5.Allprotestfeestobepaidincashonly.Fortechnicalprotests,theprotestfeeplusabondof10,000AEDtobehandedincashtotheStewardsatthetimeofhandingintheprotest.

33.6.Anymotorcyclethatisclassifiedanon-finisherisnoteligibletobeprotested.

33.7.OnanynationalstatuseventunderthepermitofEMSO,theprocedureforprotestingadecisionwillremainthesame.Theprotestmustbe:

• Writtenanddated.• AddressedtotheStewardsoftheracemeeting.• Lodgedwithin30minutesofthepublicationoftheofficialresults.• Accompaniedbythestatedprotestfeeof2,500AED.

33.8. AllprotestswillbeinvestigatedbytheStewardsoftheracemeeting.Whenaprotestissuccessful for a competitor, their fee will be returned to them. But if their protest isunsuccessful,theywillforfeittheirpayment.

33.9. In the event that a competitor’s protest is unsuccessful, it is the responsibility of theStewardsoftheracemeetingtoinformthecompetitoroftheirrighttoappealandthecorrectprocedurefordoingso.

33.10.Shouldacompetitorwishtoappeal,theymustinformtheStewardsoftheracemeetingimmediatelyoftheirintentiontodosoinwriting.TheStewardmustimmediatelysendalloftherelevantdocumentationtoEMSO.

33.11.Inordertoappealtheresultofanationalstatusevent,thecompetitormustsendtheirgroundsofappeal,alongwiththemandatorynationalappealfeeof5,000AEDtoEMSOwithin72hoursoftheevent.

33.12.Acompetitormayonlylodgeanappealfollowinganunsuccessfulprotestontheevent.Ifthe competitor fails to first follow the protest procedure, they will forfeit their right to anappeal.

33.13.Ifanyprotest/appealrequiresthedismantlingandre-assemblingofdifferentpartsofthemotorcycle, the claimantmust pay an additional deposit of 10,000 AED for each part if theprotestinvolvingaclearlydefinedpartofthemotorcycle.

33.14.Iftheappealissuccessful,thecompetitorwillberefundedtheappealfee.

34.EMSONationalCourtofAppeal

34.1. In theeventofanappeal,a three-personcourtwillbeappointedbyEMSOtohear thecase.AtleastonememberofthecourtwillbeamemberofEMSOandtheothermemberofthecourtmustbeanindependentparty,unrelatedtoEMSO,eventpromoteroreventhost/venue.

34.2.Anypersonlistedasanofficialoftheeventinquestionorwithanyconnectiontothecasewhichmayleadtoaconflictininterests,isnotpermittedtositonthecourtofappeals.Oneofthethreepersonswillbeappointedasthechairman.34.3.Oncetheappealcourtstartsitsfirstmeeting,thechairmanofthecourtshall:

• Notifythepartiesconcerned,settingoutthedetailsoftheallegedbreachoftherulesandthepenaltiesthatmaybeimposed.

• Sendallpartiescopiesofanyrelevantreports,documentsandtheidentityofanywitnesses.

34.4.Dependingonthenatureofthecase,itisatthecourtsdiscretiononhowtoconvene,buttheappellantparty,aswellasanyotherpartywhowouldbeaffectedbythedecisionmustbegiven the chance to be heard.Within one week of the court hearing, the appellant will beinformedofthedecisionofthecourt.

34.5. The UAE National Court of Appeals has final jurisdiction in all cases and its decisionscannotbechangedorappealedtoahigherauthority.

35.EMSONationalDisciplinaryCourt

35.1. IntheeventofapersonbeingreportedtoEMSOforabreachof theCodeofConduct,EMSOmayelecttobringthecaseinfrontoftheirNationalDisciplinaryCourtforconsiderationandifneedbe,action.

35.2. TheNationalDisciplinaryCourtmustfollowthesameprocedureasthatoftheNationalCourtofAppeals,butonlyconvenesforconductviolations.
