As the participants in all aspects of the North Dakota oil and gas community face unique

challenges this year we hope you will join hands with The National Association of Roy-

alty Owners—ND Chapter to provide the educational tools necessary to build bridges of

understanding and improved communication between the nation’s mineral/royalty own-

ers and their domestic oil and gas industry partners.

This year will be the fifth annual convention for the ND chapter. This event has steadily

grown and built a reputation for offering one of the finest oil and gas educational events

in the area. The 2016 event will be held at the Ramada Grand Dakota Hotel 532 15th

Street West, Dickinson, ND.

Who will be there? An estimated 125 attendees, including individual royalty owners,

bank trust officers, institutional royalty trust managers, landmen, attorney’s professional

mineral managers, and investors.

Why should you sponsor? The NARO ND annual convention provides an excellent

opportunity for companies like yours to present information about your products and

services directly to your target market on a person-to-person basis. The relaxed and in-

formal atmosphere encourages a positive exchange of information along with an oppor-

N ARO has been called one of the most suc-

cessful associations in the United States. It

is credited with the leadership role in win-

ning nearly $15 million in exemptions for

royalty owners since its founding in 1980-a return of

$1,000 for each $5 invested in NARO membership by

its members.

It is the only national organization in the United States

devoted totally to the royalty (producing sub-surface

interests) and mineral owner (owner of non-producing

sub-surface rights) and is recognized by Congress,

State Legislatures, national media and the energy in-

dustry as the authority on matters pertaining to mineral

and royalty owners.

NARO is a non-profit organization primarily funded

from member –paid dues. Grants, which will not hin-

der NARO’s freedom to act constructively and inde-

pendently, are carefully selected.

Education of its members in mineral land management

practices has become an increasingly vital goal of

NARO. The organization conducts highly successful

seminars, and also provides members with a consistent

stream of published information so they can better

cope with the increasing complexity of the oil and gas

industry.

NARO directs an on-going research and public infor-

mation program to promote better understanding of

mineral and royalty ownership among the nation’s

opinion makers.

Many members are owners of small royalty interests

that provide needed survival income for retirement or

farm-ranch operations. Others include family-held

mineral trusts, partnerships and corporations, investors,

full-time mineral managers, oil and gas attorneys, land-

men, geologists, independent producers, public institu-

tions such as hospitals and foundations, and other in-

dustry professionals.
