You Are Cordially Invited As the world begins to reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic, the 13th Sea Lice Conference will now be held in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands between 9th and 13th of May 2022: Registration and excursions will start on the Monday, the conference runs from Tuesday to Thursday, and workshops are on Friday. The conference organizing committee and the main host, the Aquaculture Research Station of the Faroe Islands, are pleased to offer your organization an opportunity to provide sponsorship of the Conference. The Conference The main theme of the conference is Fish Welfare. The conference will give you the opportunity to network with a diverse audience of international researches across the veterinary, scientific, pharmaceutical, wildlife, aquaculture and other research areas.

Who will be attending Researchers worldwide attend the International Sea Lice Conferences. The 13th Conference, originally planned for 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, this 2022 conference is now strongly anticipated by many researchers, as such conferences have been on hold for more than a year. We have reason to expect an attendance of perhaps 400 individuals from sea lice related professionals around the world. It is the first Sea Lice Conference to be hosted in the Faroe Islands.

What topics are covered A call for ABSTRACTS (oral presentations and posters) will commence in February 2022, although the call will be advertised already this autumn. Conference themes are:

• Medical treatment

• Non-medical treatment

• Wild fish interaction

• Sea lice biology

• Genetics and genome

What else will be happening at the 13th Sea Lice Conference? In addition to the technical program there will be social events, and trips to a mixture of touristic attractions places of professional interest in the Faroe Islands. Conference Location: Tórshavn, Faroe Islands The Faroe Islands are situated roughly between the Shetland Isles and Iceland. The main mode of transport to the islands is by plane. Regular flights operate from Copenhagen, Denmark (2 hours), Bergen, Norway (1 hour), Edinburgh, Scotland (1 hour) and Keflavik/Reykjavik, Iceland (1 hour). Also, the national carrier, Atlantic Airways, operates seasonal flights to Barcelona, Spain. It was founded by the vikings more than 1000 years ago. Here, the early Faroese founded the parliament (the Løgting) as early as in 930, which makes good for being one of the oldest parliamentary institutions in the world.

TERMS & CONDITIONS, CANCELLATION POLICY

Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to ALL Sponsorship and Exhibition Stand Packages:

• Confirmation of sponsorship is not final until receipt of Sponsorship & Exhibition Agreement Form.

• Payment of sponsorship monies is required within one (1) month of receipt of Sponsorship Booking Form;

entitlements may not be fulfilled if payment in full has not been received.

• The Conference Organizers will take the utmost care to fulfill all listed benefits. All marketing material and

artwork must be provided by the sponsor at the sponsor’s own cost prior to 08 August 2020.

• The sponsor is responsible for any display banners supplied and erected at the Conference and must

coordinate with Conference & Events prior to the event.

• Sponsors are responsible for the security of their own equipment and materials whilst at the Conference.

• Exhibition Stand numbers will be allocated from the floor plan on a first come, first served basis.

Cancellation Policy

• If the Sponsorship or Exhibition Stand Package can be resold to another company, the company will receive a

full refund, less administrative fees of 25% of the total sponsorship or exhibition rate. If not able to be resold,

the company will be liable to pay the following fees:

• 50% of the total sponsorship/exhibition fee, if the cancellation request is received in writing before 08 April

2022

• 100% of the total sponsorship/exhibition fee, if the cancellation request is received in writing after 08 April

2022.

• Any refunds of deposits paid will be made after the Conference but no later than 30 December 2022.

The company will not be entitled to any interest that the organiser may have derived from deposits made by the

company. All bank charges, including senders and receiver’s charges, resulting from a refund related to cancellation

of a sponsorship/exhibition items will be passed on to the sponsor/exhibitor.
