“Spirit of Intimacy”Matt. 5:17, 21-22

“Do not think I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill [FILL FULL] them.” ~Matt. 5:17

“I came to fill you!”

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.” Matthew 5:27-30

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” 17 But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.

How to Avoid Lust

1) Be honest with yourself & God about your thoughts and motives.

2) Pray quickly when you’re tempted. Command, in the Name of Jesus, for negative thoughts to go to God. Your thought habits will change over time.

3) Ask Jesus to re-fill you with the purity of His Spirit

4) Get rid of things that separate you from Jesus
