PROFILE:

A Technology Program/Project Manager, Data Analyst and Business Systems Analyst with over eleven years of experience in application and database development. Experience includes design, development, integration, testing and deployment of software across a variety of business applications as well as development of data warehouse/data mart systems. SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

● Introduced Agile with Scrum and recommended it be the primary IT project management methodology for a rapidly growing vendor to the mortgage servicing industry. Introduced a project tracking tool based on MS Excel for simple, virtual, and cost-effective project management. Led application and reporting development projects.

● Key member on an Agile with Scrum project team developing a PeopleSoft HCM data warehouse/data mart for delivering HR data for various reporting purposes. Performed data analysis, metadata management, and managed the effort to successfully develop and test external application interfaces.

● Developed the strategic vision for retiring an aging corporate Directory Services application/database and replacing its functionality using the PeopleSoft HCM data mart, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007, and Microsoft Active Directory.

● Assumed responsibility for rescuing a jeopardized project to internally develop an HR application for automating non-standard compensation processes. This project had failed in several prior efforts, and the customer was very pleased with the resulting system. Coordinated both domestic and off-shore resources to deliver the final solution.

● Directed the requirements analysis, research, identification, business case justification, and deployment of a Java-based message-oriented middleware product to automate financial data integration between production systems and the central revenue recognition system.

MOS Group, Inc., Richmond, VAMarch 2009 – Present

IT Program Manager – March 2009 to Present Hands-on team player in a start-up technology department involving on-the-job learning to implement new

technology and support and develop existing technology. Consulted with senior management in developing a long-term IT strategy to support current and future

business initiatives. Worked directly with the CIO/COO to coordinate the outsourcing of network and infrastructure assets and

responsibilities to a co-location data center operation. Managed telecommunication vendors to facilitate the migration from one VoIP phone system to a newer

system. This migration included transitioning to an MPLS based network and leveraging SIP trunks for VoIP communications.

Helped staff and build an IT development department. Identified candidates, performed interviews, and made hiring recommendations to senior management for approval.

Introduced Agile with Scrum and recommended it be the primary IT development methodology. Worked with the Director of Program Management and Development to define PMO processes and procedures

as they related to the working relationship of the IT Department with other functional business departments. Authored the charter and chaired the steering committee responsible for managing the strategic

direction of the primary business system as well as prioritizing all enhancement and maintenance requests related to that system.

Oversaw the migration of the application and development environments of the mission-critical corporate transactional systems from a sister subsidiary company in California to in-house operations in Virginia. Managed the development team which upgraded the OS and server products and components from MS 2003/2005 to MS 2008 as part of the migration.

Oversaw all analysis and design of database reporting. Recommended developing a data warehouse/data mart for future corporate reporting.

Initiated the effort to use MS SharePoint to develop a client accessible extranet allowing clients to retrieve reporting on-demand. Researched, interviewed, and recommended an external vendor to assist with deploying the solution.

IT Program/Project Manager – July, 2006 to November, 2008 Core member of an Agile with Scrum team tasked to develop an HR data warehouse/data mart. The source

system was PeopleSoft HCM 9.x and the warehouse/mart was developed using the MS SQL Server 2005 BI toolset.

Developed the Corporate Resources business channel technology strategy with the Technology Business Partner. Identified cross-channel project dependencies and promoted enterprise solution strategies.

Consulted with business leaders to proactively identify new and review incoming project requests to determine appropriate alignment with the strategic vision of the channel business.

Served as a liaison between the technology business partner, technology & business project managers, and business owners to facilitate project direction, milestones, costs, priority, and issue resolution.

Financial Systems Analyst – December, 2001 to February, 2006 Served as liaison between Technology, the National Accounting Advisors, and Revenue Accounting users. Responsible for defining and documenting business and system requirements as well as leading projects to

develop and test new system features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Researched, designed, tested, and deployed new technology and technology products to enhance system

Financial Systems Programmer/Analyst – November, 1999 to November, 2001 As a Progress 4GL/RDBMS developer, acted as primary development support for more than 80 stand-alone

revenue recognition databases and the polling system designed to collect the data from those databases on a periodic basis.

Designed and coded data extraction and conversion programs to convert data from the stand-alone revenue recognition databases into a new central system. Trained another developer to run the data extract and conversion programs in an effort which took two years to complete.
