The Baton Rouge Area Chamber, in partnership with the eight regional economic development organizations throughout the

state, will host a Statewide Economic Development Summit on February 27 at the L’Auberge Casino Hotel. The goal of the

Statewide Economic Development Summit is simple: to strengthen the state’s economy through shared ideas and business

practices. New this year, a cocktail reception will be held the evening before the Statewide Economic Development Summit.

The reception will be held on-site at L’Auberge, and will offer attendees a chance to network prior to the Summit.

Each Monthly Lunch will feature networking and a keynote speaker or panel. There will be seven* lunches in 2018, providing

the opportunity for investors to meet each other and learn about relevant topics and issues. These lunches will occur the first

Tuesday of every month, except in the case of a holiday conflict. In 2017, average attendance ranged from 90 to 110 guests.

Continued growth is expected for 2018.

* A Monthly Lunch will not be held in April due to BRAC’s Shareholder’s meeting. A Monthly Lunch will not be held in June due to the 2018 Canvas

Workshop. In addition, a Monthly Lunch will not be held in July because of vacation conflicts in the years past. One lunch in the spring and one in the fall

will be part of BRAC’s Diversity and Inclusion Event and BRAC’s Signature Speaker, which are not included in this package.

BRAC will once again partner with the City of Baton Rouge to continue the tradition of hosting the premier launch party for

the start of the 2018 legislative session. The Second Home Legislative Reception welcomes Louisiana legislators back to

Baton Rouge – their home away from home – during this time of service to our state. The party starts immediately following

the governor’s address to the legislature. Guests will enjoy live entertainment and creative cuisine from some of the region’s

best restaurants and caterers. The event is well attended by members of the legislature, other state and local government

officials, and the business community.
