Art teacher, Ms. Lindsay worked with the kiddos decorating their own flagstone for the garden. How fun that the kids were able to have their own creations and have it as part of the garden exhibit!

Field trip at Kleinhans Music Hall, Buffalo New York. The class culminated the ‘Sound Project’ joined by family members. It was an amazing experience to see and listen to different instruments. We learned how musicians worked together and practiced to create beautiful music.

Firetruck Field Trip: Mr. Brian, the firefighter was back. This time he brought the fire engine! We took a tour of the truck and discovered where the ladder is

stored and where the driver sits. Each one got to hold the hose and spray water! So much fun!

Ms. Melanie the Zoo horticulturist took us on a tour of the Greenhouse in the Rainforest. She taught us the secrets to taking care of plants. The kids saw the biggest plant in the room which is an elephant ear plant and the smallest, which is a cactus. The kids also planted snapdragon plants with the help of their book buddy as a present for Mother’s Day!

Shout Outs

Mother’s Day Workshop May 5th, Preschool mommies got rejuvenated with a relaxing day to support the preschool program and a locally owned salon in Buffalo. They had a new haircut and make up! Best of all was creating a group support for hardworking mommies. It was so nice to spend time with each other outside of the classroom and have some self-care!

Special thanks to our Parent ambassador, Caitlin (Hadley’s mom) for helping Ms. Anna with new families wanting to learn more about our preschool program during Preschool Open Houses.

The class did a great job cleaning the garden and laying down weed mats with the help of BOCES buddies down at the Heritage farm. Each learning partner got their own bed and chose what seeds to plant. The choices were veggie and flower seeds!

Celebration of Teacher’s Appreciation Week, May 6-10. Preschool docents and Ms. Anna got a treat each day from preschool families:

Cali, Ms. Debbie, and Ms. Lynda!
