The “International Expansion” program has been designed to equip managers with the necessary

tools to set up operations across borders. After the common initial import-export stage, a further

step ahead is required to be truly competitive in today’s world. This program provides participants

with the necessary knowledge of the opportunities and risks in emerging countries (“New

economic players”). They will also learn the key factors to set up production facilities in a foreign

Begoña Albizu SorianoBachelor in Economic Sciences by the University of Bilbao. Among other positions, she has been a Sales

Responsible for Export promotion at ICEX San Sebastián, Managing Director of Export Promotion in the Industry Department of the Basque Government, Managing Director of Babcock Wilcox Spain in Chile and President of Babcock Wilcox Spain in Venezuela. She is lecturer at CECO, at Escuela Universitaria de la Cámara de Comercio de Bilbao, and at EOI. At present she is a Senior International Consultant for Albizu, Vidal y Uria S.L., where she is an expert on SME internationalization programs, capacity building for foreign trade process and multilateral bidding projects. She is also academic director for on-line courses on bidding systems and lecturer in numerous foreign trade degrees.

Manuel Guerris LarruyMBA from IESE, Industrial Engineering in Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. He is President of the Internationalization Commission of the Industrial Engineering Professional Association. In 2010 he was awarded the prize for the best entrepreneur initiative in the XVIII edition of The Young Entrepreneurs Association held in Barcelona and chaired by the Prince of Asturias and the President of Catalonia. He has consulting experience with private and public companies in Europe. At present he is partner of Neo Consulting BCN and a lecturer at Ramon Llull University, Universidad de Barcelona, International Entrepreneurship Business School, University Pompeu Fabra, and UPC. Also teacher trainer of companies such as Ikea, TV3, Phone House, Gaes, Bodegas Torres, Fluidra or Federació Farmacéutica.

Fernando Aceña MorenoLicenciado en Derecho y Máster en Dirección Inter-nacional de Empresas por el IADE. Profesor de Financiación Internacional del Máster en Comercio Exterior de CECO, Profesor en la EOI, Instituto de Empresa e Instituto de Formación de la Cámara de Comercio de Madrid. Ha sido Director Adjunto de la División de Inversiones y Cooperación Empresarial del ICEX. Actualmente es Director Adjunto de Estrategia y Desarrollo de Negocio de COFIDES.

Hugo Pérez CondeEs asociado senior del Departamento Fiscal en la oficina de Garrigues en Vigo, y cuenta con una dilatada experiencia en materia de fiscalidad general y fiscalidad internacional. Asimismo es miembro de la Línea de Fiscalidad Internacional de Garrigues desde hace 11 años, y es la persona responsable del Área de Fiscalidad Internacional de Garrigues en Vigo. Es Licenciado en Derecho por la Universidad de Vigo, Master de Asesoría Jurídica de Empresas por el Instituto de Empresa y Abogado ejerciente en Vigo, y ha participado en cursos de especialización en fiscalidad internacional y fiscalidad indirecta de la Unión Europea en la Internacional Tax Academy de Ámsterdam y de derecho americano en la Columbia Law School de Nueva York. ponente en numerosos cursos, seminarios y conferencias relati-vos a temas fiscales y de fiscalidad internacional, organizados por la Escuela de Negocios Afundación, la Confederación de Empresarios de Pontevedra, la Confederación de Empresarios de Ourense, la Cámara de Comercio de Vigo, la Cámara de Comer-cio de Pontevedra, el Colegio de Gestores de Vigo, el Colegio de Gestores de Pontevedra t la Asocia-ción de Industriales Metalúrgicos de Galicia.

Antonio de Juan JuanHe has lived in Spain, Sweden & UK. His career is focused on International HR Practice and he has worked in companies such as REPSOL, GENENTECH or ABG PERSONAS. Since 2001, he coordinates RED EXPAT & RED FODIRH, an initiative that groups 125 big Spanish Multinationals with a triple common goal: acquire, update & share practical knowhow on Multicountry-International People Management. Antonio has both a degree on Law Studies (Universidad Autónoma Madrid) and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in European business Studies (Humberside University, Hull, UK). He also obtained a Human Resources Posgraduate (Garrigues Business School).

Javier Sánchez Verdasco

Anna Matysek-Jędrych, Ph.D.MA, Ph.D., Assistant Professor at the Faculty of International Competitiveness, Coordinator of International Business specialization at the Poznan University of Economics, macroeconomist, specia-list in financial crises, financial stability and central bank policy. She is a member of Editorial Board of 'Journal of Eastern European and Central Asian Research'. She is a member of Advisor Committee of MP and coordinator of X-Culture Project at the Poznan University of Economics (realized by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro). She is a member of the Societe Universitaire Europeenne de Recherches Financieres, the European Economic Association and the Academy of International Business.

Mario Weitz SchneirBachelor Degree in Economics by the University of Buenos Aires. Master and Doctorate in Economics by the American University (USA). He has held the position of Head of the Economic Advisory Board of numerous major banks in Argentina, USA and Spain. He has also been Head Counsellor for the International Monetary Fund, Argentina Railways, and many other Spanish and American firms. Permanent lecturer in International Economics at ESIC, and visiting teacher at IE, Universidad Carlos III, ESCP-Europe, IEB (Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles) and Universidad de Cantabria. He is also a regular columnist in ABC among other media. At present he is the Managing Director of Consulta Abierta, a position that he reconciles with that of a World Bank Consultant and European Commission Counsellor for Economic Issues.

Santander. He has been teaching for firm’s clients such McDonald’s, Total Fina, Altadis, British Telecom, Repsol, Orange, Prosegur and several financial firms.
