If you want to know what services there are out there that you might qualify for, they have a very knowledgeable staff that can direct you & next step- where you can get a wide variety of resources and programs that might fit your needs. Many organizations are there to help with your needs in our community. Free meals for the community lunch & dinner lunch 7 days a- 11:30-12:30 dinner 5pm-6pm Next Step is 9:30-11 am and 1pm-4pm and has a variety of information and things to do. * use the phone, take showers, get toiletries and clothing. A computer Lab for job search is open Monday thru Friday 9am-12pm and Sat, 9:45am to 4:45pm, Sunday 10am -1pm. Other services during next step

every year a crossed the Nation & Project Homeless Connect- If anyone
knows of a homeless person in your area, please contact “The Center” –Bergen

to contact Bergen County Human Services to get information on Signing up to do

**Basic information on how to help A homeless person/someone who is at risk
of becoming homeless
A.If you know a person is homeless and they need shelter; refer them to “The
Center” 120 South River St. Hackensack 201-336-6475 (All should be referred
here first) B. If they are not able to get into the Center Have them Contact “The
River” Church on the Green and we can try to advocate for them or refer them to
various agencies.-(201) 342-7050C. If you know they have a criminal record refer
them to Transition Professionals- 285 Passaic street. Hackensack NJ -201-883-
9360D. If you know they have a mental illness; refer them to Path at Comp Care-
201-646-0333*any problems with any of these agencies please refer them to us
here at the River-homeless mission-*homeless or at risk of losing housing, the
center can help them w/ homeless prevention. Call the homeless prevention line-
201-336-6490. Don’t let them wait till last minute. Have them call immediately!
