Dear Shihans, Sensei and Sempai Osu, I have the pleasure to introduce you The Spanish Edition VI Open Karate Championship 2013, to be held in the town of Pineda de Mar. This Championship is organized by the Sensei Inma Marquez, one of the members with more weight in our organization IKO Spain and a great capacity to work in the management of sporting events . Our purpose on this event, is that in this edition it can reaffirm as one of the annual sports championships of IKO in Europe and to serve as a preparatory run-up to consolidate karatecas and young prospects in the subsequent European Championships, both Kumite and Kata. Moreover ,to finish, We have the purpose to unite more European countries, not only in sports, but in the social, cultural, etc, as in the 2012 Edition which 6 countries attended. Osu, Dear Shihans, Senseis and Sempais,

I am pleased to present the Spanish Open Karate Championships 2013 in its sixth edition, consolidating a large project, I have the honour to organize it in this occasion with the support of IKO Spain.

This great event will take place on February 9, 2013 in the Complex Esportiu Can Xaubet located on the Carretera Nacional II, km. 669 - 670 of Pineda de Mar (08397) in Barcelona. From the Organization our goal is giving to everyone a great day of Kyokushin, both competitors , referees , technical staff of each of the attending delegations and the public present at the Championship.

As in previous editions we hope that the spirit of Kyokushinkai lives in each kata and each fight, enjoying every moment that generously all participants Karateka offer us , as a result of their hard training, the humildity impregnated in each technique, the courage and the bravery to enter to the tatami and face combat or kata, and the friendly atmosphere presents at all times ,before , during and after the competition.

We will rely on modesty, the ambition and the serenity that transmitted us Sosai Masutatsu Oyama in life that endures over time through the teachings of Kancho Matsui and all teachers who each day teach in the dojo, to give shape and quality to the Championship.

LOGISTICS OF COMPETITION

RECEPTION OF COMPETITORS - CHECKING

The competitors’ reception will be in the room designated for the Official Hotel from 16:00 h to 20:00 h. At the time of the checking, the dorsal will be delivered to each competitor. At that moment the competitor will pay the Fee. For competitors who arrive on Saturday morning 9th, the checking and the dorsal will be delivered on the Pavilion at 9:15h. DOCUMENTATION DELIVERY The documentation will be provided to the coaches in the room designated in the Official Hotel of the Championship on Friday, February 8 from 16:00 to 20:00 h. For coaches who arrive on Saturday morning 9th, all documentation will be delivered at 9:30 pm. during the coaches meeting. WEIGH SCHEDULE The weighting will be held at the Official Hotel of the Championship on Friday, February 8th at the Official Hotel in time 18:00h to 20:00h. For competitors who arrive on Saturday morning 9th, will be the weighting from 8:00h to 9:00h in the pavilion. Out of these hours won’t weigh any competitor. Important: As the draw will be made previously, any participant who will be out of the weight declared for the category, will be disqualified. FEE - Kumite Competitor: 10, 00 € - Katas Competitor: 10, 00 € - Kumite and Katas Competitor: 10,00 € COACH Every club must present a coach, in the inscription, annotating names and surnames. He/She must wear sports clothes or karate-gi. The coach will enter to the installation with its team; will not allowed the entry to anyone who doesn’t go with your team and your coach. To facilitate the labor to the whole personnel in charge of the organization, clubs are requested to coordinate well the entrance. PHOTOGRAPHER Every club will have an accreditation for a photographer.

Minimum of Woods to break in the women's categories is 1. SPECIAL TROPHIES They will be delivered the following special category trophies Senior absolute: -Trophy to the spirit of Bushi-do -Trophy to the most technical competitor -Tameshiwari trophy -Trophy for the fastest KO.
