Orbital Therapy’s carbon fiber ClearVue(TM) prone position table was designed by Baren-Boym Company to address current and future requirements to deliver this emerging therapy technique. ClearVue(TM) offers a number of advantages over other commercially available prone position tables. Prone position increases the separation of the target and critical organs and minimizes target motion caused by breathing. This results in the ability to deliver less dose to the surrounding organs such as lung and heart, and more precise dose to the intended target. The unique, patent-pending open design provides visual and treatment access to the breast allowing to plan and treat from multiple angles. The interchangeable mid-section allows you to quickly adjust the table configuration between closed “O” and open-sided “U”. During the actual testing of the spine implants it was noticed that new molded peek implants were failing under torsion and compression loads. Depuy Spine Inc has asked Baren-Boym Company to look into the problem. We have performed the FEA analysis on the existing implant and have found that in fact the design could not withstand the exerted loads. Baren-Boym Company has provided seventy-two designs and FEA tests to find three possible configurations that would be adequate to sustain necessary loading conditions.

Heart Cannula CFD

During the design of the heart blood pump it is essential to design a perfect outflow cannula because the blood must flow freely inside the tube. There must not be any areas in the cannula where the blood can slow down or even stop. Baren-Boym Company has been contracted by Levitronix Inc to perform the analysis of the blood cannula. We have found areas in the cannula that may present problems. They have been redesigned and final CFD analysis confirmed a superior cannula design.

The Portafeed VS 212 is a purpose built, portable, solid sate controlled voltage sensing wire feeder. Its rugged injection molded, fiberglass reinforced, flame retardant, polypropylene case represents the latest in high strength, super tough, light weight materials.
