SPA Background
Audience:– Microsoft Business Solutions Partners who resell financial and supply
chain management solutions must have an active SPA agreement with Microsoft.
– Partners who signed the SPA in 2004 must take action now.
The Solution Provider Agreement:– Was introduced in July 2004.
– Has a two-year term.
– Provides benefits such as a wider geographic scope, harmonized rules and discount schedules (specified by region).
– Signed between a partner and Microsoft’s Regional Operations Centers (ROCs).
– Is required for each region where partners have customers and intend to place orders.
Keep Your Eligibility to Order
Who needs to re-enroll?– Partners who have signed the 2004 version with an expiration date of June 30, 2006
need to reactivate the SPA before June 30, 2006.
– Partners can check their expiration date via their signed copy of the contract or by contacting their Regional Operations Center (see SPA guide for contact details).
To maintain your ability to place orders without interruption, it is essential that you activate the SPA before July 1, 2006.
The appropriate ROC must receive the contract at least 2 weeks in advance of July 1, 2006, to avoid potential interruptions.
If the SPA is not Reactivated:– Ordering rights for Microsoft Business Solutions will be revoked.– Access to PartnerSource may potentially be lost.– Customers may eventually be re-allocated to other partners.
Who Needs to Reactivate their SPA?
This requirement only affects those who signed the 2004 version.

Partners who signed the SPA released in 2005 do not need to re-enroll until July 2007.
Partners who reactivate their SPA now will stay active until July 2008

It is now required that you be at the Registered Member level or higher in the Microsoft Partner Program to be considered compliant with the SPA requirements.

- The exam requirements are the same, but do not stipulate how many employees must meet the exam requirements.- SPA & Affiliate organizations can now aggregate all exams worldwide that their employees have taken to qualify for the SPA exam requirements.

You will be automatically notified of any substantial changes to the SPA agreement by email or through your field rep

Manage Your MSPP Membership
• To resign the SPA, you need your Partner ID Number. If you’re not already registered in MSPP, go here to register now :
• https://partner.microsoft.com/.• Log in and look for this header which includes your Organization ID.
• If you are already an MSPP member, enter your MSPP Organization ID number in the SPA and/or Affiliate profile.
You must be an active MSPP member to Reactivate your SPA
How to Re-enroll – Step Three
Activate your SPA
• Partners need to submit two hard copies of the following documents:– The SPA – signature required.– The SPA Profile form (one copy only). NOTE: Don’t forget to add your MSPP ID.– The Solution Addenda corresponding to the products you plan to sell.
• If you have affiliates that want to place orders within a region, please submit:– The Affiliate Agreement.– The Affiliate Profile form(s).

• NOTE: The Regional Operations Center must have activated your agreement by July 1, 2006 to keep accepting orders – allow for at least two weeks processing time.

How to Re-enroll in MSPPRegistered, Certified or Gold Certified Level
If you are re-enrolling:– Confirm you exams have been met by accessing VOICE.
• Note: Having met the exam requirements for at least one of the MBS Competency Specializations will count as having met the two MCP requirements, which are necessary to enroll at the Certified or Gold levels.
• It is essential that Microsoft understand what exams your organization has passed.
– Go to https://partners.microsoft.com/partnerprogram/PartnerMembershipCenter.aspx
– Update your profile information.– Enter your MBS account number.– Enter in your customer references (if applicable).
• Note: make sure that your customer approves them and then assign them back to the specialization you are trying to earn.
– Pay your program fee (if applicable).
Next Steps: For Partners who Resell CRM
CRM Software Advisor Addendum• If you have participated in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Software Advisor
initiative then you’ll want to be sure to sign the Microsoft CRM Certified Software Advisor addendum when you re-enroll in the Microsoft Partner Program.
• All Software Advisors must be at the Registered Member level or higher in the Partner Program to be eligible for the associated fees.

CRM Software Advisor Addendum at the same time.
