Rocky Mountain Snowbike, Inc based in Breckenridge, Colorado is interested in working with a non-skier, non-snowboarder journalism student who will volunteer to experience as a first timer the process of learning to ride a Brenter Snowbike on the slopes at Breckenridge Ski Area and continue to ride for a period of up to a total of three hours and write a story about the experience from the start of the experience to the last of the three hours. This should include the learning process, it’s effectiveness, and the level of success achieved at the end of the three hour period. In addition part of the story may include the feeling of being in Breckenridge, in the mountains in general, at the on-slope restaurant and the general on-mountain experience etc. More than one story may result as the journalist may wish to write a longer or shorter story for different readers, media outlets or publications. For example there may be a fitness aspect to the sport, ease of learning, comfort etc. The writing of the story will be the sole responsibility of the journalist with no influence by the company. If the journalist is also a photographer or want’s to bring one with them that might be useful. Press Release: The ultimate goal of the story is to get it out there. The effectiveness of the journalist will be measured by how he or she can create an interesting story and how many outlets take it on. Writing a press release and distributing it effectively will be important. This will take initiative. The is an opportunity for the student journalist to grow their performance track record they use in future job interviews. The project schedule below will layout what happens when.
