Want to Volunteer at SFISD?

There are many opportunities for individuals to share their time and talents with

students and staff of the school district. All adults who volunteer in our schools,

chaperone on fieldtrips, or interact with students during extra-curricular activi-

ties will be subject to a Texas Criminal History background check. The campus

you want to be involved in will provide you with an application that must be submitted no later than 10 days in ad-

vance of the scheduled trip or volunteer work day. Any applicant who will be chaperoning an event in which they will

be independently supervising students or chaperoning an overnight trip is required to be fingerprinted at the volun-

teer’s expense. There are no exceptions to this rule. An applicant shall not be allowed to volunteer in the schools until

the designated administrative personnel have evaluated the background check. Any parent or guardian not approved as

a chaperone must provide their own transportation to the event or function, and may attend the function and accompa-

ny their child only. They may not supervise other students who are in attendance.

then extra funds are needed. The funds raised through our

education foundation are granted to campuses and class-

rooms for innovative educational programs and supplies.

Please plan to attend one of our events this year or adopt a

We believe in being proactive and setting up structures and systems of support to help students. So, we encourage

you to set up access to view our teacher grade books through Family Access so you can view your child’s grades at any-

Santa Fe High School I am excited to be a part of the rich tradition of this school and see it grow and succeed. Our ad-

dation to academic success. In addition, we will focus on creating an environment and school culture that will support

all students in academic and extra-curricular activities. We strive to make SFHS a place where students want to be, a

place that parents trust to care for their children, and a place where staff love to work. Again, welcome to the 2017-2018

SFHS Student Parking Permits

All students who park a motor vehicle on school property, including mo-

torcycles, are required to register their vehicles with the District by purchas-

ing a student parking permit. Student parking permits must be renewed each

school year.

Permits may be obtained at grade level registration and at other times in

the high school police office. Permits are $20.00 from registration through the tenth day of school. The cost

increases to $25.00 after the tenth school day, unless the student is a newly licensed driver.

Students must show proof of a valid driver’s license and proof of financial responsibility (liability insur-

ance) at the time of the permit’s issuance. Permit applications may be obtained from the high school front

office, from the SFISD Police Department website, or from any campus police officer.

It is the student driver’s responsibility to register his/her vehicle, and to display a valid parking permit

for the current school year. Vehicles parked without a valid student parking permit may be towed at owner’s

expense.
