This includes parents going directly to their child’s classroom to drop off any items inadvertently left at home. Opportunity classes cater for gifted and talented students in Years 5 and 6. The nearest classes to our school are located at Smithfield Public School, St John’s Park Public School and Harrington Street Public School.

To gain entry, students who apply must sit a placement test on Wednesday 31 July 2019. This is usually a very difficult test and parents will need to carefully consider if it is suitable for their child.

Interested parents and carers must read Information about applying for Year 5 entry to an opportunity class in 2020 available at:

https://education.nsw.gov.au/public-schools/selective-high-schools-and-opportunity-classes/year-5/information-for-applicants

If you would like further information, please contact me through the school office.

1D is having a HOOT! Did you know nocturnal animals are animals which are mostly active at night?

In Science & Technology, 1D have enjoyed learning about the changes that occur in the sky, and on land, during the day and night. We have observed the day sky and night sky to see how they are different. We have also learnt about daytime and night-time animals through some art and writing activities, check out our work below!
