‘‘Abdullah ibn Mughaffal r.a. narrated that the Prophet Abdullah ibn Mughaffal r.a. narrated that the Prophet

A’ishah reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said, “When one
of you goes to relieve oneself, he should clean himself
with three stones.”

Anas r.a. related that, “When the Messenger of Allah s.a.a.w.
would enter the privy, me together with another boy would
carry the water container and scoop for him. (The afterwards)
the Prophet s.a.a.w. would clean himself with water.”

Ibn ‘Abbas r.a. related that the Messenger of Allah s.a.a.w.
passed by two graves and said, “They are being punished.
But they are not being punished for a great matter. One of
them did not clean himself from urine and the other used to
spread slander.”

Abu Hurairah r.a. said, “When the Messenger of Allah s.a.a.w.
relieved himself, I used to bring him a container of water made
from animal skin or from copper. He would cleanse himself (with
the water), then rub his hands against the soil.”

harmful, and kept for me (of its nourishment-energy) what benefits.”
