the methodology of studying fiqh in Islam, especially on the
importance of going back to the basis (dalil).
Therefore in future, my slides/ handouts will not contain
elaborate explanations, but will be brief but with emphasis on
basis (therefore you are to give special attention to practice,
and to memorize) on the explanation and these basis - Qur'an
or Hadith (especially those which I painstakingly provide with –
or without - the transliteration to ease those new converts).

The messenger of Allah always begin anything by reciting the Basmalah
i.e. bis-mil-lah-hir-rahmaanir-rahim.
In one Hadith, he stressed that any act without beginning it with
Basmalah has no blessings in it.

Ayesha asked the prophet s.a.w. "O messenger of Allah!
How should a toothless person cleans his mouth?"
"By putting his fingers into his mouth", he replied.

under his jaws and pass it through his beard. He then said,
“this is what my Lord, Allah, ordered me to do.”

(j) IMMEDIATE SEQUENCE (MUWALAT)
The acts of wudhu’ (ablution) should follow in immediate sequence and
not intersperse with some other work
(k) NOT TO TALK WHILE TAKING WUDHU’
To not indulge in talking while doing ablution is the practice (Sunnah) of
the Prophet s.a.w.

Al-Miqdam ibn Ma’d Yakrib r.a. reported that
“the Prophet s.a.w. wiped his head and his ears,
the interior and the exterior, while making
ablution. He also put his finger inside his ears.

Ibn ‘Umar r.a. said, “He (the Prophet s.a.w.) wiped his head
and ears with one wipe.” And another narration it states, “He
wiped the inner portion of his ears with his index finger, and
the outer portion with his thumb.”
