Proposed Revisions to the Permit:
1. Change of outfall location:
Outfall 002
Receiving Stream unnamed tributary, thence to Kellogg Creek, thence to Bayou Meto,
thence to the Arkansas River (same as Outfall 001)
Monitoring Coordinates Lat.: 34° 50’ 19.9” N; Long.: 92° 10’ 22.4” W (same as Outfall 001)
Outfall Coordinates Lat.: 34° 50’ 26.4” N; Long.: 92° 10’ 17.45” W
2. Removal of monitoring and reporting requirements for TP & N+N-N.
Issues Discussed:
1. Relocation of outfall
All pipe for the new outfall location has been laid. Switching over to the new outfall will
only require minor work to complete. The new outfall location has essentially the same
receiving stream (it discharges to the same unnamed tributary as the old outfall).
The new outfall was not easily accessible at the time of the site visit due to vegetative
growth. Once brought online, outfall accessibility will be maintained.
2. EQ basin and sludge ponds
The EQ basin and both the new and old sludge ponds have the capability to discharge
back to the headworks of the treatment plant.
