10.9 Organizational Chart: Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs / improvements

• Before the beginning of the academic year each faculty member prepares a month wise plan for

lectures and practical as per MSBTE (Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education) syllabus &

Academic Monitoring for the entire year. • After each lecture the topic taught and the number of present/ absent students are noted down in a

logbook. • Monthly academic monitoring is done for all two years. Students whose attendance falls below

requirement (less than 75%) are given an oral warning as well as their parents are informed regarding

absenteeism of their ward telephonically or by written communication. One of the staff members is

appointed as in-charge for academic monitoring.

• A yearly meeting of parents and teachers is arranged to discuss their wards progress, weaknesses,

as well as the methodologies adopted for teaching.

• There is a guardian teacher for each batch who interacts regularly to discuss various aspects of

academics as well as the difficulties of the students. • A syllabus completion report is submitted by each faculty member for all the subjects taught by

him/her at the end of the academic year.

Members. 2) Appointed Registrars CEO/ Directors: The Society has appointed a Registrar for the Society, Chief Executive officer for each campus, and a

battery of Directors in each of functional areas as Director (Project), Director (Administration), Director

(Technical Education), Director (Health Sciences) Director (Pharmaceutical Sciences) .

3) Governing Council : It is constituted as per the norms of AICTE. It works under the Chairmanship of the President of STE

Society; having appropriate representation from the statutory bodies affiliating body, industrialists and

academicians of high repute. The council has four Sub committees namely Finance, Building,

Selection and Purchase (Equipment) Committee. Each committee includes minimum one

representative from the faculties / HOD. The Principal of the institute works as Member Secretary for

the sub committees and Governing Council.

10.11 Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff & student: Class representatives as well as representative students of each class gives feedback about the

faculty, administration and facilities to the class teacher and Principal. This takes care of most of the

student problems in day-to-day affairs. In case there is a grievance that is not addressed in regular meetings the principal is informed of the

same by the class teacher after interaction with class representative and students. Whenever need

arises a common meeting is then held with the Principal along with class teacher and class

representative/ students. If required a written application is given to the Principal, upon which

appropriate action is taken.

SINHGAD PHARMA T-20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2011-12

Sinhgad College of Pharmacy has organized SINHGAD PHARMA T-20 CRICKET successfully on 22nd - 26th Nov 2011 at Cricket ground, Vadgaon Bk. Tournament was inaugurated at the hands of Dr S.D. Lokhande (Principal SCOE), Dr. K.S. Jain (Principal SCOP),Dr. K.G. Bothra (Principal,SIOP) and Prof. H.M.Washimkar. Total five Pharmacycolleges of STES were present on the occasion in this cricket tournament.
