Web Portal Log In Following successful domain registration, SingNet Selfhelp DNS server will send out email as below:

Explanation of input fields

Field 1: name of host

Eg. www, web, mail

Field 2: type of host

Eg. A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, SRV, TXT

Field 3: IP for type “A” record, canonical name for type “CNAME”

Eg. 123.21.100.100 (public IP), web.example.sg (require existing sub domain which has type “A” record)

Field 4: Priority is only active in “MX” record

Default value: 10

Note: lowest value is highest priority. Increase by 10 for subsequent secondary mail server domains.

Eg. 20, 30

Field 5: TTL

Default value: 1 hour (3600 seconds)

Note: recommend default value

Add Type “A” Record Sample:

Sub domain to add - www.example.sg

IP to point - 202.123.1.2 (public IP)

Steps:

- Insert “www” in Name field.

- Select “A” in type drop down list.

- Insert IPv4 address in Content field.

- Click “Add record” button.

Add Type “AAAA” Record Sample:

Sub domain to add - www.example.sg

IP to point - 2001:A100::2 (public IP)

Steps:

- Insert “www” in Name field.

- Select “AAAA” in type drop down list.

- Insert IPv6 address in Content field.

- Click “Add record” button.

Add “CNAME” Record Sample:

Canonical name - web.example.sg

Existing “A” record - www.example.sg

Steps:

- Insert “Canonical” name in Name field.

- Select “CNAME” in type drop down list.

- Insert “sub domain name” in Content field.

- Click “Add record” button.

Add “MX” Record Sample:

Mail server sub domain name - mail.example.sg

Note: Add valid “A” record for mail server name “mail.example.sg” before setting “MX” record. Default “Priority” is

“10”.

Steps:

- Select “MX” in type drop down list.

- Insert valid mail server domain name in Content field.

- Insert priority of the mail server in Priority field

- Click “Add record” button.

Add “SRV” Record

Sample:

Service name - _autodiscover._tcp

Steps:

- Select “SRV” in type drop down list.

- Insert service name in Name field.

- Insert “weight <space> port <space> target” in Content field.

- Click “Add record” button.

Add “TXT” Record Sample:

Text to be added – “v=spf1 mx –all”

Steps:

- Select “TXT” in type drop down list.

- Insert host or leave blank in Name field

- Insert the text in Content field.

- Click “Add record” button.

Edit Existing Record Sample:

- change www.example.com “A” record IP from “202.123.1.2” to “202.123.1.5”

- change canonical name “web.example.sg” to “w3.example.sg”

Steps:

- Change IP “202.123.1.5” in Content field of “A” record www.example.sg

- Change CNAME to “w3.example.sg”

- Click “Commit changes” button.

Delete Existing Record Sample:

- Delete existing “CNAME” record “w3.example.sg”

Steps:

- Click “Rubbish Bin Icon” in front of the record to delete.

- Click “Yes”

Change Password - Click “Change password”

- Insert Current password

- Insert New password

- retype New password

- Click “Change password”
