Summary:• laboratory simulation has allowed experiments

into alternative deperm procedures.• “Anhysteretic deperm” was QUICKER more

RELIABLE + allows for theoretical modelling.• Theoretical models have been used to describe

magnetisation changes in tube and real vessels during deperms.
