The Evolution Series E9000® Motor Control Center providesa safe, flexible and centralized means to protect andcontrol motors.

Since 1948, GE has driven the development of motorcontrol centers, from the first plug-in combination starterto the first fully segregated units to contain fault damage.

And now, the Evolution Series E9000® introduces thefirst 600A plug-in units and the first snap-in low voltagevertical barriers.

Evolution's 850A Vertical Bus, Snap-In Shelves, Plug-InFeeders to 600A, and Plug-In Starters to Size 5 providecustomers with more flexibility to move buckets aroundand add them in the future.

These evolutionary advances extend to versatility inapplication – from the most complex auxiliary drive systemsto the most basic control of fan or pump motors.

They also embrace the scope and caliber of componentsand systems required to satisfy those applications, fromthe latest in solid-state starters and drives to world-classprogrammable logic control to a wide variety of provencontrol and distribution devices.

Evolution Series E9000®

Customer feedback from structured focus groups provided the foundation for the Evolution Series E9000®.OEMs asked for the flexibility that comes from a simplifieddesign. Users wanted enhanced safety features andeasier access for maintenance and troubleshooting.Consultants sought a smaller footprint so they couldminimize electrical room space. Using the acclaimedSix Sigma process, GE designed a motor control centerthat meets all these needs and more.

Simpler Is BetterThis straight forward design resulted in these improvements over existing GE equipment:• 20% Increased Density

Customers can add more buckets and feeders in asingle section.

• 30% Increased Wire SpaceEvolution's unique design allows for more wiringspace despite its increased density.

• 60% Fewer PartsThis translates to greater flexibility, easier installation,and fewer stocked parts.

The simplicity dramatically cuts order-to-shipmentcycles and increases our ability to respond quickly tochanging project requirements. For example, the 600Aplug-in stab assembly means that a substantialchange can often be made with minimal impact onthe production schedule. The 250A and 600A plug-inunits also speed up field installation and make evenlast-minute changes easy.

Installation is further made simple because of thesefeatures:• Deeper vertical wireway channels for greater wire

New Visible Blade DisconnectsCustomers now have the option to visually verify allthree blades of the disconnect are open prior to opening the door.

New Drives Rated to 100 KAICGE's drives are rated to 100KAIC without fuses, savingcustomers footprint and additional expense.

Multilin MM200, MM300, LM10 Motor Management RelaysThe newest options for the Evolution Series E9000 MCCare the Multilin MM200 and MM300 protection relays.They provide the latest technology in motor protectionand control found in high-end protection relays. Thefeatures are suitable for process applications requiringvarying levels of diagnostics and control; for criticalapplications requiring remote monitoring; and forhigh-speed control on a network separate from dataacquisition. The two new relays are offered in additionto the existing LM10.

Integrated Transient Voltage Surge SuppressorGE TVSS components ensure the smoothing of spikesand inherent noise in utility/generator power flowingthrough your motor control center.

Snap-In ShelvingNo bracket screws required for shelving; snap-inshelves allow buckets to be easily moved.
