SIERRA NEVADA SUMMER CAMP NEWSPAPER 2014!!

PARTIES!!! Welcome Party It’s the first party of the camp. In that, we meet the new people and we dance a lot. Ibiza Party Everyone wears white clothes. In that party we play with some games, for example, we play with different colours of balloons. We also have a dance competition with different kinds of music. Pub We go there twice in the camp. I think it’s the place where we dance the most. It has lots of lights and it’s very noisy. Everyone likes it so much. Fancy dress party In this party, we go dressed with a fancy dress. We have a competition and the best fancy dresses win prizes. We also dance. Pyjama party We wear our pyjamas and we fight with our pillows. Like in other parties, we also dance a lot. Final party In my opinion, that is the best and the worst party at the same time. It’s the last party of the camp, so it’s very sad. Everyone goes very elegant. Also, the children prepare the party, not the monitors. Children choose a miss and mister of each group, the prettiest of them. At the end, the monitors put sad songs and everyone cries and says goodbye. Ainhoa, Nacho, Alberto and Álvaro from group 8.

ANIMALS IN THE SIERRA NEVADA! Dangerous animals: There are vipers, scorpions and spiders. These animals are venomous. The vipers are snakes that have a paralysing venom, and if the venom gets into your heart, you die. The scorpions and spiders also have venom, but you don’t die. Animals you can see here: You can see goats, horses, cows, bulls, eagles, foxes, insects, snakes, squirrels, ducks and a lot of animals in danger. Night animals: Owls, bats and others. The night animals sleep in the morning and hunt and eat at night. The owls eat rodents, and the bats eat fruit and insects. Paula, Alba and Laura from group 5.

SPORTS Sports Activities We were playing traditional games, like the fastest pirate, petanca, tug of war, sac race and bottom fight. Bottom fight: You draw circle and two persons put the bottoms together and you need to push with the bottom to push it out the circle. Fastest pirate: In a table you put a coin in the centre and two persons are in the sides of the table, when you listen “go”, you need to take the coin the fastest possible. Petanca: There is a ball in a place and the people who is playing take a ball and they need to throw away the ball the closest possible. The person who throw the ball the closest possible is the winner. Tug of war: there are two teams usually of three persons. You take a rope and in the middle of the rope you put a divisory line. The teams take the rope and pull to win. The winner team is the one that pull harder and don’t pass the divisory line. Sac race: It is a race but you need to wear a sac on feet and you need to go jumping. The winner is the first that arrive at the finish line. The day was very funny. Marcos Martín from group 5.

Cook report There are two points in the hotel to eat: the dining room and the bar. The bar: In the bar you can eat and drink a bit of things but you have to pay 1€. In the bar you can eat cheetos, Kitkat, Lay’s, Ruffles, Doritos and 3Ds. You can drink a can of Aquarius, Coca cola, Fanta, Nestea, Sprite, don simon and a bottle of water. The bar has a time table. The dining room: In the dining room you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner and you don’t have to pay. It is a buffet and you can eat all the things you want, but in the dinner you can’t repeat pizza or hamburger. Guillermo from group 6.

DESPICABLE ME We recommend the film Despicable me 2 because we think that it is very amusing. We laughed from beginning to end. The film is about a man calls Gru, who has three little daughters. In the film, Gru needs to find the poisonous serum that turn the animals, persons, minions etc into monsters. The characters of the film are Gru, Lucy, El Macho, Agnes, Margo, Minions, Edith, Pollito, Antonio and Dr. Nesario. Our favourite parts are when Gru goes to the Macho’s house and turn the little monsters into minions and when Lucy takes Gru to meet Silas Ramsbottom at his headquarters under water. Fashion Report Hair: Your hair is very important for you public image. We are going to give you some easy hair done up. The first is take a clean hair. In the hotel you can take the loose hair or catch it up with a diadem. In the excursion the most comfortable hair done up is a pony tail or a middle pony tail because of the manner your hair is not dirty and your hair is not messy. In the parties the best is to take the hair catch with hair clip or if you prefer the hair loose or a plait. Make up: The trick is to be beautiful without noticing it. The first is put in your face a cream which hydrate it. The second is the base make up. The third is eyeliner and rymel. The fourth is blusher for give colour to the face. And the last step is lipgloss. Clothes: Excursions: you have to take comfortable and nice clothes. Example, leggings, converse trainers, short t-shirt, a jumper and a cap. Camp Story 100 years ago this camp was a church where the priest has a relationship with a nun, and they have a baby. He was called Jonathan. Jonathan died because at that time the priests couldn’t have babies. Jonathan gets older as a ghost and only his mother could see him. She was called Mary, and when Jonathan was 8 years old she committed, this way she could stay with him. Nobody knew anything about the body of Jonathan’s mother. The secret life of Bustos Who is Bustos? A ninja or a chef, a dancer or a secret agent? Bustos is an acrobat, he likes all sports. Once upon a time, baby Bustos was born in a little farm, he liked the circus: the clowns, animals, acrobats, lion tamers, “THE SHOW!” But his parents didn’t have money.
