Short Breaks Activities for Children with Additional needs aged 8 —19 years old Family play afternoon Drop in sessions based at Wild West Children Resource Centre Cockermouth. Meet other families and the community nursing team while children have fun and play in a safe, relaxed environment. Activity Holiday - 48 hour Break away from home Holiday to Kepplewray. This break will leave on Friday 1st November and will return to Sunday 3rd November. Pyjama Drama – 0-8 years oldJoin the children’s centre staff and Sarah our facilitator to develop your child through play, drama, dance, singing and role play. Family Swimming – 0-10 years oldFree weekly swimming sessions are available for children 10 years and under with additional needs and their immediate family. A lifeguard will be present at each session but children must be supervised by parents in the pool. Children under 4 year’s ratio 1-1 children under 8 years 2 – 1. If you need an extra pair of hands in the pool staff are more than happy to help but we need to know in advance so please ring us on 01228 227196 to let us know. Play Max- all ages @ Park Leisure Centre, Barrow-in-Furness - Every Thursday 1-3pmPlay Max is an excellent Sensory and Soft Play Resource based in the local leisure Centre. Our session each Thursday is free of charge and is supported by our staff.

These are short breaks activities for children with disabilities and /or additional needs.
