The objective is to design a retail and office for the shoe brand Camper. Camper is known for filling the gap between uncomfortable designer shoes and practical plain shoes. They use sustainable material in their products, and integrate aesthetics and function.

The site is located in New York City where it currently houses Prada retail store. There are two entrances, and the first and second floor are for retail space, while all of the third and fourth floor are for the Camper office.

The concept is to create the right balance between rigid origin and process to casual atmosphere. The process is represented in the physical design of the shoe. The philosophy is having a new casual and comfortable lifestyle. The origin is for valuing Camper’s tradition and history.

The objective is to design a nightclub to promote socialization and an active atmosphere. The concept will be based on a physical phenome-non associating with unique effects differing from the norm.

The site is located in New York City where it currently houses Duane Reade. It is a historical landmark. The building has a large open triple-height space on the ground floor, which is where the nightclub is located.

Through extensive research, ocean waves were found to have unique forms that are unpredictable to the human's perspective. Therefore, the design concept is to create sculptural elements with difference curves, heights, angles, and widths with unpredictable walls in the view of the users.

Waves are formed based on the ocean floor. If the floor is flat then the waves will be calmer but if the floor had a slope or a steep hill then the waves on the ocean will change its form to a more irregular shape.

For people on the land, it is difficult to predict what kind of waves will pass since humans cannot see the sea floor.

The height and width of the wave is different from each other as well as the angles.

Materials

In the curved elements, there will be studs inside that will be attached to the mezzanine floor to keep it standing. To increase profit during the day, there will be a restaurant open for lunch and dinner. Once the nightclub opens, it can be used simultaneously. Behind the dance floor, the elements create high walls surrounding the private seating areas. This area is where the users can experience the unpredictability of extreme ocean waves. Areas that are really small like the curves near the walls are for couples to be secretly together.

SIMPLE PRACTICAL COZY STRONG

Claude Monet was the founder of French Impressionism during the late 1800s. He was known for his studies on how an object’s appearance changes with the time of day. Because he faced poverty as a young artist with the responsibilities of a father and husband, he is more accustomed to a simple and comfortable lifestyle. Art was his life.

The entrance area is a double height ceiling. The interior is an open plan because of Monet’s open composition in his paintings. The exposed structure of the ceiling is similar to his exposed painting style.

Balcony on the mezzanine creates overcast lighting; good condition for painters. The mezzanine has his office and bedroom where the morning sun will flood through the window.

Electric light is to a minimum since static light will not inspire him to paint. He studies the changes natural light casts on objects, so he likes to see movement and dynamism.

The concept is to create a simple and practical space where natural light has a strong presence in the interior as well as the exterior. Claude Monet can be inspired to paint his artwork in a natural and relaxing environment.

The concept is to create a sense of community for the children by teaching them to express themselves through music. By using the techniques of music therapy (specifically classical), abused and neglected children can overcome their hardships. The design concept is to create a mathematically organic language derived from music theory. It will use the principles of repetition, rhythm, and balance.

The objective is to design a cafe based on a selected famous chair's design method.

The site is Newark Pennsylvania Station in New Jersey. It is designed by McKim Mead and White, and was built in 1935. It is Historical Landmarked. The people use the station to go to New York City and parts of New Jersey by train, bus, and subway.

The Military Chair was created after World War I where the idea of De Stijl was promi-nant in the art area. It was the idea of spiritual harmony and order through the reduc-tion of form and color. The Military Chair is a pure abstraction of what a chair needs to be. The colors used have a positive and negative relationship that are often associated with harmony. The interlocking juxtaposition system of different parts and planes were unique to the design.

The product is called Denki, and it is a fully printable smart light fixture that adapts to light levels and occupations types.

Denki is like a friend that knows what you need because it recognizes & responds to patterns through an automated system. It consists of the sensing system which senses surrounding area, process system, which is the software and program, and the action system that is the motions and mechanical structure

Denki is an orchestration of technology that has the qualities of a friend that will bloom and blossom to your needs.
