The operation was performed by Du Zhimin, a famous medical expert in interventional therapy. Conducting such an operation requires the hospital to have qualifications and meet regula- tions for the use of radiologic technology, pass the evaluation of radiologic protection and employ professionals in the field. On May 10, the hospital was approved for a radiologic diag- nosis and radiotherapy license. Twenty days later, it successfully carried out its first coronary angiography operation. It is said that DSA is widely used in the diagnosis and treat- ment of cardiovascular diseases, while coronary angiography is the gold standard for the diag- nosis of coronary heart disease, which can provide a precise basis for further medical treatment. The operation also shows that the hospital is able to carry out a series of interventional therapies for coronary heart disease, struc- tural heart disease, pacemaker implantation, radiofrequency therapy and more. The Boeing 787-8 aircraft will operate this route twice a week. The airline previously oper- ated two to three weekly flights between Beijing and Zurich from May 2011 to January 2012. It will be another interconti- nental route from Shenzhen to Europe operated by Hainan Air- lines after the launching of flights from Shenzhen to Brussels and Madrid earlier this year. China is the third-largest trade partner of Switzerland, following the European Union and United States, while Switzerland is an important European country for technology exports to China. The opening of the Shenzhen- Zurich route will not only bring more business and trade oppor- tunities and tourism options for Chinese travelers in the Pearl River Delta region, but also be helpful in enhancing high-level cooperation in trade and new energy between the two coun- tries, the report said. Hainan Airlines is now oper- ating five intercontinental routes from Shenzhen to Brisbane, Cairns, Auckland, Madrid and Brussels. Zurich, located in north-cen- tral Switzerland, is the largest city in the country. This is the latest intercontinen- tal air route from the Shenzhen airport following the opening of a twice-a-week direct flight to Darwin, Australia, on May 30. The opening of the Shenzhen- Zurich air route will bring the total number of international flights in Shenzhen to over 40. In 2016 and 2017, the city opened 28 international routes including intercontinental routes to Europe, Australia and the United States. (Han Ximin) Flight to Switzerland to open in Aug. A WOMAN in Nanshan District and her daughter who was study- ing abroad were targeted by tele- com fraudsters and were nearly swindled out of a large sum of money for ransom, according to the Shenzhen Anti-telecom Fraud Center. Xie Zhenzhu recently received a text message demanding an undisclosed amount of ransom to save her daughter who had allegedly been kidnapped, the Shenzhen Evening News reported Tuesday. A photo of Xie’s daughter, identified as Xiaobeike, tied up with a rope was attached in the text message to Xie. Xie panicked after failing to reach her daughter on her mobile phone, which had been switched off. Xie started to believe that her daughter might have been kid- napped, so she called the police in Nanshan District. Since Xie’s daughter was still studying over- seas, the police handed the case over to the Shenzhen Anti-Tele- com Fraud Center. After receiving the case, the center suspected it was telecom- munications fraud. They told Xie that it was crucial to locate Xiaobeike’s whereabouts to solve the kidnapping case. Luckily, Xie received another credit-card message from her bank showing that Xiaobeike had checked in to a hotel in the country where she was studying. Following the information pro- vided by the Shenzhen center, police officers in that country found Xiaobeike. The girl later called her par- ents. Xiaobeike told her parents that she had received a phone call one day after class and her phone showed that the call was from the embassy. A man told Xiaobeike that he was a staffer with the Chinese Embassy on the phone and said that she was involved in a money laundering case. He told Xiaobeike that she would soon receive an arrest warrant. The man told Xiaobeike to cooperate with the “embassy” in the investigation of the money laundering case and to keep silent. Believing what the swindler said, Xiaobeike followed his instructions, tying herself up with a rope and sending a selfie to her mother. Later, Xie received the photo and the kid- napping message. According to the Shenzhen center, fraudulent gangs now use technology to get their phone numbers to show up as the num- bers of key public government departments like an embassy, police station and others. Also, the swindlers might be well- trained and able to deceive their victims easily. Qu started dreaming of reach- ing the top of Qomolangma when she was only 12 years old. She saw a report about Shenzhen entrepreneur Wang Shi conquer- ing Qomolangma and had been deeply intrigued by the idea of reaching the peak ever since. Qu joined a group of moun- taineers to scale the 6,206-meter Mount Qizi in Tibet during the National Day holiday in 2013.
