PrepareyouriPadWhen the iPad ismounted in thebezel, youcannot reachanybuttons on the iPad any more. Before doing that, it’srecommendedtosetyouriPadasbelow:1. EnableMultitaskingGestures2. Enable“HeySiri”

2. Insert iPad into the bezel from the top. Pay attention tothedirectionoftheiPad.

3. ConnecttheiPadwithlightningcable(notincluded)

4. AdjustthepaddingblockstofityouriPad. Fitthepositionlugs into thebigholes for iPadAir, small holes for iPadAir2and9.7”iPadPro

5. Assemble the back sheet. Make sure that the lightningcabledoesn’tinterferewiththepaddingblocks.

6. Installthebezelstand

8. PlugintheUSBpower(USBpoweradapterisnotincluded). The bezel will do a self-test by lighting up backlightmomentarilywhenpowerisapplied.

USBpowerrequirement Backlighton BacklightoffWithiPadpluggedin <1000mA <800mAWithoutiPadpluggedin <200mA <20mAAccording to the power consumption listed above, minimumUSB power output requirement is 1000mA(5W). To give itenough margin, a USB power adapter with the capability of2000mA(10W)outputisrecommended.

Bluetoothconnection1. MakesuretheiPadisconnectedtothebezelwithlightningcableandUSBpowerisapplied.

2. Power/Bluetoothindicatorwillblinkwhitewhenthebezelisnotconnectedtoanydevice.

3. Press“NOSEUP”and“NOSEDN”atthesametimetowakeup iPad. Unlock the iPad and launch PFD or MFD app. OniOS 10, slide right on the lock screen to show the searchingpage,searchtheappandrunitdirectly.

Or,say“HeySiri”towakeuptheiPadif“HeySiri”isenabled.

4. MakesureyouhaveturnedontheBluetoothontheiPad.5. Taptheupperrightcornertoopenthesettingswindow.

6. Select “Hardware Bezel” on the left. You will see theavailablebezel(s)inthelistas“SHB1000”followedbyaUUID.

7. Tap on the item to connect the bezel. If you havemorethan1 bezel in the list,make sure you are selecting the rightonebycheckingthesignalstrengthorjusttryone.

8. When thebezel is connected, the “Disconnect”buttonwillshowup,disconnectthebezelbytappingthatbuttonwhenyouneed to. By default, the program will also turn off iPadauto-lock(keepsiPadalive)whenthebezelisconnected. Youcanadjustbezelbacklightbyslidingthebacklightcontrol.9. ThePower/Bluetoothindicatoronthebezelwillchangetosolid white also indicating that the bezel is connected to theiPad.10. Ifyoudon’tdisconnectthebezelmanuallybeforeyouquitthe PFD or MFD app, the bezel will be disconnectedautomatically and connect automatically the next time youopentheapp.
