Ex: you want to create a Contact list.

Steps In SharePoint 2013, you get a “Contact app”

from the Office Store or from the App Catalog and install it on your site.

Click on the little icon

First we need to import the app from the store to our local intranet website

Search for the apps that is currently in the local store

Give a meaningful name to it

Here is my available app to be used in our local website

You will get this ribbon toolbar as below

Select insert tab and click on App Part

Here you will find your apps as shown above. After selecting it, it will be displayed at the right hand side of the screen.

• You will see your app at the left hand side of your website as shown below

Click on the app on the left hand side and a new window will open as shown in the next slide

• Creating hyperlinki. First you need to select edit page on

the home page as shown aboveii. Second you need to select in which

portion or part of the website you want to insert the hyperlink

iii. Third, select the insert tab, click on the link icon as shown below

Insert a meaningful name

• Add photo

Select any hyperlink where you want to insert photos.

Select “new picture”

• SurveySurvey is a bit different, since it is a dynamic form where each survey is unique

You need to add app survey as explain in the above slides.

IMPORTANT: you need to add a survey as hyperlink as explain above.

Select Settings to add questions to the new survey

Select the type of answer you want ex: Yes, No or Maybe

• Exporting Result in excelIMPORTANT: You need to open the new intranet in IE 8 or above in order to be able to export the result of a survey to an excel file as shown below

Click on action an select“Export to Spreadsheet”

• Update Calendar

Select the required calendar

Hover your mouse on any date andClick the add icon to add content to that particular date

A pop up window will be displayed in front you where can enter the title, location, start and end time, description etc.
