This year we completed our 15th year celebration “SHARADIYA DURGA PUJA”.
Our Puja started with the melodious sound of shankha and came to a beautiful end with the harmonic sound of Dhank.
Our Puja has been a complete success not due to one or two member but due to efforts of all members either directly or indirectly and above all Hats of to all members wives for giving full support.
And as a President it is my humble request to all the members to resolute in positive direction leading to the betterment of Durga Puja .
Our Durga Puja will become more prosperous and victorious if all members continue to work in co-ordination with mutual understanding.
Maa Durga depicts “NARI SHAKTI”and on this auspicious ceremony I would like to acknowledge and show my gratitude to all the ladies who have given their maximum input.
At last let us all wish may Maa Durga continue to spread aroma of her blessings and make our Durga Puja bloom like a lotus.

The auspicious festival of Durga Puja is the eternal worship of Maa Durga and is one of the most important festivals being celebrated in our country. Apart from being a religious festival of Hindus, it is an occasion of reunion and rejuvenation.
Almost 15 years back it was started by handful of families but over the years we have developed a very lively bonding between all the committee members by extending our participation in various activities and preparations. Sharadiya Durgotsav Samiti celebrated its 15th consecutive Durga Puja Utsav this year with lots of enthusiasm, positive energy and dedication. Many new members have joined our committee and we invite them to come forward and actively participate in this mega event in the years to come.
On behalf of the Samiti I express my sincere thanks to all the sponsors, advertisers and donors for their financial support and the local residents and administration for their kind cooperation and support.
I would like to thank all our committee members and their family for their hard work, sacrifice, devotion and commitment in an organized manner as a team for Puja preparations and accomplishing this task successfully.
As for me, this was a great experience and new learning. My heartfelt gratitude to the all members for inspiring me to fulfill my endeavor.

DEAR FATHERDear father, I hear the stories of the day I was born. Every one in the hospital stood nervous, talking in silent whispers, about the pains mother had to go through to carry me in her womb for months. But nobody took a look at your anxious, weary face. No one placed a hand on your shoulder, no one applauded you for being so strong throughout it all.
Dear father, I recall those days when I was small. People exclaimed what a hard time I gave to mother! But I don’t remember anyone praising you for working hard the whole day and staying up late at night, feeding me and nursing me while mother lay exhausted from the day’s chores.
Dear father, remember those days when I had just started going to school? You carried my belongings and picked me up on your shoulder and stood for hours in the crowded bus. While the young ladies, who occupied the seats, used to sit engrossed in chatting with each other, none of them bothered to offer us a seat. I saw no one raising a voice at them, asking them to move aside and make way for us.
Dear father, you didn’t forget that day, did you? When I was sick and had to be rushed to the hospital. I saw tears streaming out of mother’s eyes and everybody tried their best to console her. Am I the only one who noticed the tiny drops of tears escaping your eyes and your lips moving constantly in inaudible prayers? Because I found no one coming forward to comfort you that time.
Dear father, today as I am ready to start my new life, I see mother sobbing uncontrollably, unable to bear the thought of having to part with me. And then I see you, silently checking my suitcase, again and again, afraid that I might leave behind something important. Is it because yet once again, you want to hide your tears?
I know how hard it is for you. Harder than mother and me, to express your grief and fear. I know that although you are smiling, yet deep down your heart is broken because you will not be able to snuggle with your princess anymore. I see the questioning look in your eyes, the frowning worry upon your brows. I see your mind constantly battling against the concern for the safety of your daughter and your wish to see her happy and established. I know that you’re scared. Scared of letting your precious darling out in the big, bad world. No one but me, can see the trace of sorrow on your face. No one realizes that you too need reassurance.
Why is it so hard for you to express your emotions? Why is it that people will humiliate you if you cry in front of them? If mother and I can, then why can’t you? Why do you have to pretend to be so strong all the time? Aren’t you a human too? It’s okay if you break down. It’s okay if you sob. It’s absolutely okay if you need care and attention. You should let people know about the pain you’re going through. You do need a shoulder to cry on.
I know how difficult and unfair life is for you. I know how you are constantly stereotyped and blamed for the wrongs you haven’t done. I feel bad when someone says the age-old adage that all men are the same. I pity them, for they haven’t come across my dear father yet.

Why How to Save the Earth& ???The Earth is one of the countless planets that are part of this humongous universe. Located in Solar System in the Milky Way Galaxy, it is one of the most unique celestial bodies; because it’s the only known planet which has the capability to sustain life. The planet can support life because of its special features, which include: oxygen-rich air; availability of freshwater; and, its perfect distance from the Sun, the star of the Solar System. But, global warming is emerging as “the” next biggest problem, which threatens to destroy the soil which firmly holds the roots of all life.
Formed 4.6 billion years ago, Earth has been continuously sustaining life for about 3.8 billion years!!! This capability was challenged in the mid 1800s by the so called “Industrial Revolution”, which kicked off the era of inventions that are still “trying” to improve our lives. But, all of these life improvements have come at a huge cost and have serious ill effects. Pollution levels have increased considerably, mostly due to the increase in the atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide (CO2), which in turn has led to increase in temperatures. All of these factors also have further side effects. Glaciers and icepacks are melting at a faster rate than presumed earlier, leading to the rise of sea levels around the world, which could eventually lead to worldwide flooding.
The depletion of the Ozone (O3) layer has also been attributed to the release of immense amounts of Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) into the atmosphere, due to the extensive use of refrigerators and air conditioners (ACs).
To prevent global warming from conquering the Earth and destroying its future, we can take some basic steps that might benefit the future world in a big way. We should try to decrease the use of ACs and refrigerators, to lower the levels of CFCs; prefer to usecarpooling and increasingly useofpublic transport so as to save on emissions; and encourage the plantation of more trees to keep CO2levels in check.

Soumya Bose had started his career in the Bengali musical industry of 25 years back. His first big performance was in the Akashbani where he started his journey with T a g o r e ’ s f a m o u s c o m p o s i t i o n “poushtoderdakdiyeche….” and from then on it has been an ever evolving journey from a singer to a music arranger then a composer and a lyricist as well. His first original c o m p o s i t i o n w a s “ T u i P h e l e E s e c h i s ”. Though he is a known f igure in the music industry of Tollywood as a composer but he is a gifted singer at the same time and his expertise in
music genres range from Indian classical to, NazrulGeeti and folk songs to commercial Bengali songs. He has even introduced a new genus of music in the industry which he calls “Bangzhal”. The songs being named so, because of the predominant influence of the sufighazals style in these compositions.

The TelephoneToday, we use multiple mediums of communications. Many of them, if not all can trace their origins to the era of the telephone. The telephone was invented in 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell and still is considered as one of the gems of the Industrial Revolution. The ingenious invention soon went into mass production and proliferated around the world. Modern-day versions of the gadget can be found almost everywhere, including homes, offices, banks, etc.
More than a century later, the device has received a multitude of upgrades; with the addition of creature comforts like screens, voice messaging, etc., to further enhance the ease of usage. But, the original contraption was hailed because of the impact it had on worldwide communicative methods. Before, its invention, person to person communication could take place through written mediums. These written letters, messages, notes, etc. had to sent to the receiver by the sender, which meant the involvement of a third party/person, therefore threatening the secrecy/privacy in between the two people.
The advent of the telephone solved these problems with ease and allowed two-way communication without any interruptions. Modern-day versions have a wide array of capabilities: they are able to place calls worldwide, record messages for the user in his/her absence, conduct group calls, etc. The fares/tariffs are also cheaper as compared to cell phones.
But they have their fair share of “side effects” as well. Telephones aren’t portable as they’re attached to networking cables. There are often used as gossiping tools because of their cheaper usage rates. They also can be bit of a headache to people living in different time zones, as ill timed calls can have disastrous consequences. And, they aren’t completely free from third-party interference as well, thanks to some very clever criminals who can wire tap telephones and listen into or even record secret messages as well.
Telephones are a boon to people, but they can sometimes be an irritant as well. In the end, we can conclude that they were and still are a vital part of the worldwide communication revolution.
