WHY?
India is one of those few countries where selective gender bias still exists today. We call our Nation Mother India, worship Maa Durga as the Supreme power, but in reality, we still consider girls as burdens and leave no effort to destroy her existence.Result is the alarming rate of female foeticide/ infanticides in this country.
MVSD wishes to make this the Theme for Durga Puja 2015, for it’s Importance and Social Relevance Today

It requires an Artist of exceptional skill and talent to blend this Theme with a traditional Durga Puja ambience. We have chosen Shri Biswajit Majumdar, a nationally awarded Artist to design the Puja Pandal and his experienced team of artisans to execute it.
Shri Majumdar has designed many sculptures, figurines and statues. In Terracota and other mediums. His creations adore many famous and prominent locations all over India. A Theme Depiction requires an intricate Design concept. All aspects of the Pandal, Lighting, Interior Design, Ambience, Sound and Crowd Movement need to be synchronized to reflect the Theme.This is a very challenging assignment as such a Theme Puja has never been attempted in Gurgaon
