GETTING TO KNOW YOU

In an effort to promote the warm community feeling we strive for here at KMS, we introduce you to KMS members each week. We hope you enjoy meeting your fellow members and will use these brief bios as a catalyst to introduce yourself to others at KMS.

LEAH & MIKE ROGAL Mike and Leah Rogal moved to Kemp Mill from Potomac in October 2015. The Rogals love liv-ing near the Northwest Branch trail and enjoy walking there as often as they can. Mike, who grew up in Scarsdale, NY, is a securities enforce-ment attorney at FINRA. Leah, who grew up in Lima, Peru, is also an attorney and works as a policy analyst at DHS. Although they over-lapped at the same law school, Mike and Leah did not meet until years later on a blind date in Miami. They lived in Florida until 2002, when they moved to Potomac (after spending a few

months at the Warwick). Their children, Max (16), Sally (14), and Eliot (11) attend CESJDS, and spend the summer at Camp Yavneh in New Hamp-shire. They love playing all sports, real and fantasy, especially baseball and softball. They are fanatic about the Mets, the NY Giants, the Miami Heat and Michigan. Mike recently organized and coached a shomer shabbat Montgom-ery County Little League team for Berman and CESJDS 5th and 6th grad-ers. He has also been volunteering for shmira duty. Leah, former co-President of the CESJDS PTO and volunteer with many school and shul com-mittees, is looking forward to getting involved with the chesed committee at KMS. Moving to Kemp Mill provided an incredible opportunity to reconnect with old friends, and make many new ones. We feel extremely grateful and blessed to be part of such an inspiring, warm and welcoming community.

They met during college at Clark Univer-sity and have been together ever since. Sabina, a special education teacher has taught in both public and private schools and has been at Su-

lam at the Berman Hebrew Academy since 2001.
