Sing-along highly encouraged. BRENDA SCHUMAN POST AND SUZANNE PRESENT: OBOE/PIANO “Summer Vacation.” A new program with music, describing places all over the world. SEPT 8 DOUG ARRINGTON (VOCALIST) WITH JERRY MOORE (PIANIST) AND BLAKE RICHARDSON (BASSIST) Doug Arrington is a warm, intimate buoyant versatile and talented vocalist. His incredible voice and range and charismatic personality give him the power to control the mood of his audience. He has performed extensively in the Bay Area, where he resides. He also has toured the Far East and Australia. It will be a pleasurable experience for you to hear him. JEFF WESSMAN: AROUND THE WORLD IN SONG Some folks don’t get around like they used to. So, I created this musical “stay- cation” to evoke the feeling of travel and adventure while sharing joyful and beautiful music together. For an hour we travel to exotic lands from Mexico, Brazil, England, France and Italy. Then, we make our way back home stopping in New York and heading south for some Jambalaya before catching the Route 66 to Vegas and then home. OCT 13 JERRY FROHMADER PRESENTS: WOMEN IN MUSIC Musician and educator, Jerry Frohmader will share recorded music and lively details of the work, lives and times of the greatest woman composers and artists of the golden age of Tin Pan Alley, Broadway and beyond! ALLEN KING (ISRAELI FOLK DANCE LEADER) PRESENTS THE MOVIE (DVD) “THE LAND OF MILK AND HONEY” The Land of Milk and Honey is an inspiring documentary exploring the emergence of Israel’s folk songs and dance, primarily through the contributions of one man, Eliahu Gamliel. Travel back in time to the early 20th century home designed and built by San Francisco architect Willis and owned successively by the Bourne’s and the Roth’s, both families attentive caretakers of this gorgeous monument, its gardens and surrounding environment. On a private docent tour, learn the history of the home, its art and furniture collection and the sprawling gardens. Enjoy lunch on your own in the Filoli visitor’s center café.

Equal parts pianist, singer, songwriter and comedian, Fats Waller was one of the seminal figures of 20th century jazz and Tin Pan Alley, with such standards as “Honeysuckle Rose,” “Keepin’ Out of Mischief Now,” and “I’ve Got a Feeling I’m Falling” to his name. Five top-notch performers will give you an evening of non-stop, high-energy singing and dancing while celebrating one of America’s greatest artists!
