September month started with teacher’s day celebration. This month our school received
awards. The learning continued with fun activities and understanding the concepts. The
brief of the main events and activities are stated below-:
Teacher's day celebration
Birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was celebrated in our school. All the students expressed their thankfulness to teachers. Upper primary students conveyed greetings through creative handmade cards. Dance, music and speech on biography of Dr. S Radhakrishnan made the day explicable.
Ganesha Chaturthi
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Sford choir melodiously chanted shlokas to
invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Teachers performed ritual of pooja. Gulab,
student of class VI narrated the story of how Ganesha, son of Parvathi acquired head
of elephant. Pre- primary kids decorated beautiful sketch of Ganesha with rose
petals and different leaves.
Hindi Diwas
The students and staff celebrated Hindi Diwas with great fervour. The program
unfolded with essay, poem, speech and slogan in Hindi. The students were told
about the role and importance of Hindi as a language.
Simply Jaipur Principals & Teachers Award
On 3rd September, our principal with two teachers was honoured at the principals &
teachers award ceremony for commendable contribution in education at Birla
auditorium, Jaipur.
Bhartiya Gyan Pareeksha Award
Ankita, student of grade VIII has appeared in the Bhartiya Sanskriti Gyan Pareeksha
and obtained excellent position. By doing so she set an example of self, social and
national refinement along with the development of moral and cultural values.
Concept Learning Activities
o Thumb Painting
Children of grade I loved getting their hands messy to create colourful fun
animals and later on they added details to give them life. In this activity, the
children used skills such as painting, drawing and writing.
o Be Kind to Animals
Teaching children to be kind to animals and emphasising the importance of
extending compassion and consideration to other living beings, is an
important and valuable life lesson. Students of grade IV visited SFORD
gaushala and participated in volunteer work of cow care.
o All About Shapes
All very hands on and fun, the learning is just a plus! Toddlers of K.G participated
in recognising the shapes circle, square and triangle and then they coloured very
favourite shape.
Art and Craft
o Water Vessel for Birds
Sford kids provided a place for little birds to sit while they enjoy their treat.
Students of grade IV decorated earthen pots for birds. They pledged to fill the
pots with water for birds.
o Quilling Card
Beautiful cards made for teachers by students. They decorated the card by
using quilling technique. Glitters were added to sparkling greeting card.
Star Incentives
Every month Sford stars rewarded with incentives. This is to encourage good
handwriting, good reading, disciplined behaviour and cleanliness. The star kids
motivate other children for better performance.
Maths Lab.
In Maths Laboratory pre primary kids got an opportunity to discover things by doing.
In many of the activities, students learn to deal with in the course of doing concrete
activity which lays down a base for more abstract thinking.
