What if I have a follow up appointment already booked in a clinic that is no longer open?

If you have a follow up appointment already booked or you are expecting a test result, then we will be in contact with you shortly. Don’t worry, your appointment will still go ahead we will just want to confirm arrangements with you.

If you have a follow up appointment with the HIV service (and you choose to transfer your care to our service) then we will

also give you a call shortly so we can discuss your needs with you in more detail and let you know what services we offer. This will include the options for where to get your blood tests done as we may be able to offer a more convenient location for you.

Where are the services based? We have three main clinical bases across the County where you can have all your sexual health and contraceptive needs met in one appointment, where possible.

Our clinics:

• Buryfields Sexual Health Clinic 61 Lawn Road, Guildford Surrey GU2 4AX

• Earnsdale Sexual Health Clinic 2 Whitepost Hill, Redhill Surrey RH1 6BD

• Woking Sexual Health Clinic Woking Community Hospital 3 Heathside Road, Woking GU22 7HS

We provide community clinical outreach sessions supported by our ‘clinic in a box’ services along with STI & HIV testing, condom distribution and information and advice sessions.

Booked contraception appointments are also available in our Clinical Outreach sessions and these are currently running at:

• Leatherhead Hospital Sexual Health Clinic Poplar Road, Leatherhead KT22 8SD

Monday and Friday 10:00am-12:30pm

• Epsom Sexual Health Clinic Church Street, Epsom KT17 4PH

Monday 4pm to 7pm and Wednesday 3pm to 7pm (please note this is an Under-25s service)

Please see our website for up and coming developments

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea Screening for Under-25s, Condom Distribution Scheme and Outreach

What do I do if I need emergency care? We offer emergency contraception, PEP and treatment from our clinics. Sometimes you may find it easier to visit a local pharmacy or emergency service instead, depending on your needs.

Here is some more information about what to do: • Emergency contraceptionIf you require emergency contraception then you can attend one of our clinics or you may wish to walk in to a local pharmacy instead. Our website (www.sexualhealth.cnwl.nhs.uk) has a list of pharmacies that offer EHC.

You can also visit www.healthysurrey.org.uk/your-health/sexual-health

• PEP (Post exposure prophylaxis)PEP may reduce the risk of you catching HIV if started within 72 hours of the exposure. If you think you may have been exposed to HIV and would like a discussion about PEP then walk in to Buryfields Clinic in Guildford or Earnsdale Clinic in Redhill or go to an Accident and Emergency Department.

• Sexual AssaultThere may be other reasons why you need to be seen urgently, such as after a sexual assault. If this is the case you should contact the police or the Surrey Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in Cobham on 0300 130 3038 for further information and support.

How can we access the service online? Our new website has information on how to book an appointment, pre-appointment resources and a symptom checker to help you manage your health.

Later in the year you will be able to book appointments online too and use videos to find out more about LARC (coil fittings).

The website address is www.sexualhealth.cnwl.nhs.uk

If you are under 25 you can order a Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea self-testing kit by simply texting the word REACH, followed by your full name, address and date of birth to 80010.

Very shortly you will also be able to order a testing kit online through our website at www.sexualhealth.cnwl.nhs.uk
