Seven cs of effective communication

Seven cs of effective communication Made by vanita taili1Communication is the ever going activity by which people relate to one another . At the core of communication process is the concept of sharing.communication is an essential requirement for all human performance and interaction.communication always involves at least two people- one sender and a receiver. One person can not communicate.Introduction of communicationDefinitionof communictionCommunication is the transfer of information and understanding from one person to another person.it is a way of reaching others by transmitting ideas, facts, thought, feeling and values.its goal is to have the receiver understand the message as it was intended.7 cs of communicationcomplete ConciseClearCorrectConsiderateCourteousconcrete 1) complete:Whatever bit of information is required for decision making should be provided. Insufficient information requires further clarification , leading to wastage of time and money.message is considered to be complete .2)concise:Unnecessary details are likely to confuse the receiver. Therefore ,only the necessary information should be provided.extra description that is likely to have no impact on the receivers understanding should be avoided. A good message is one that is complete ,yet concise.3)clear:Information should be crystal clear so that the receiver understand its meaning as it is intended by the sender. But clarity of expression should be preceded by clarity of thought.Only when the sender is fully sure of what is to be communicated ,can it be expressed clearly.4)correct:Data,facts,figures,etc should not be given unless the sender is sure of their validity.Besides monetary losses, incorrect information can result in loss of goodwill too.since quality of information afeects decision making, its correctness should at all times be maintained. It is better not to mention something than give wrong information.5)considerate:Communication works best when it is based on You Attitude. It is not about what suits me best. It has more to do with what you can actually understand. Considerate refers to the act of caring for the other persons feelings and need.6)Courteous:A tough message , when laced with courtesy, does not sound offensive.Whether oral or written, language should always be courteous. The best way to exhibit politeness is: Acknowledge the favours shown towards you,and accept your faults. Thank you and sorry are the magic words that should be used abundantly.7)concrete:Information should be in specific terms, leaving no room for vague and abstract interpretation. While abstract words are vague, concrete words denote things, which exist in the real word. One should ensure that detauls are always in concrete terms.THANK YOU
