• OPENING HYMN UMH # 380 There’s Within My Heart a Melody
• CENTERING PRAYER Great and glorious King, how You must love us. For while we were still sinners You came and died for us. When we were Your enemies, You called us “friends.” We confess that we are still prone to sin, still bound by guilt and carrying shame. Free us. Remind us today that when You set us free we are free indeed. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. AMEN.
• SINGING IN RESPONSE UMH # 347 v 1 Spirit Song
O let the Son of God enfold you with His Spirit and His love. Let Him fill your heart and satisfy your soul. O let Him have the things that hold you, and His Spirit like a dove will descend upon your life and make you whole. Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill Your lambs. Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill Your lambs.
SHARING OF PRAYER AND PRAISE
INVITATION TO PRAYER UMH # 347 v 2 Spirit Song O come and sing this song with gladness as your hearts are filled with joy. Lift your hands in sweet surrender to His name. O give Him all your tears and sadness; give Him all your years of pain, and you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name. Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill Your lambs. Jesus, O Jesus, come and fill Your lambs.

Sanctuary Ramp Access The ramp to the front doors of the Sanctuary has been removed. If you have been using it to
enter the Sanctuary, you will now need to enter the building by the main doors in the back
of the building and use the stairs to your left or the elevator to go upstairs. Thank you for your
patience as things change during the construction process.
It’s Nametag Time! We are asking that everyone wear a name each week during Lent. Take this opportunity to
greet others you don’t know and meet someone new! Nametags at the Welcome Centers.

Community Church's Lenten Dinners have begun and it takes a whole school of fish to make
it happen. How can you help? Here's what we need:
Desserts. We need cakes and pies. They can be dropped off any time on Friday. Nothing
that requires refrigeration, please.
Bottled water and Pop (cans only). These donations can be dropped off any time, any
week. If the kitchen is locked, please place on café outside of the kitchen.
A few good men to help manage the parking lot. We will need three men each week to di-
rect traffic and ensure our guests move about safely.
Servers. We are in need of folks able to serve on the buffet line. Really need some folks that
are available at 3:30.
Clean-up and tear-down. Not a glamorous job, but so important. These folks can arrive later
(great for working folks that want to help). At approximately 7 p.m., we start the process of
downsizing, cleaning up and setting up for Saturday’s events.
If you can help, email Kendra Simpson at [email protected] or call/text to
724-516-8371.

CONNECT CARD
Lenten Bible Study / February 21st / 7-8:30pm / Sanctuary “Grace: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine” a Study by Max Lucado.
One way to make Lent count this year is to do something special, something extra, like
getting into a Bible Study. Pastor John will lead a 6-week study that explores GRACE as the
Bible teaches it and as we can experience it. The classes will meet on Wednesdays from
7:00 to 8:30pm. The initial session is set for February 21, the location for each session is the
Sanctuary. The study will include a DVD presentation by well-known Christian teacher, Max
Lucado, then working through his study book, with conversation and inter-action with all the
participants. It promises to be an enlightening, faith-expanding experience. The books are
$10 each and will be available at the first session. For details or to sign up contact the church
office at 724-744-3413, email Pastor John at [email protected] or use the
Connect Card.

the church directory with contact information for staff, leadership and members. You can
easily update your own contact information, see calendars, group schedules, activities at
the church and even set-up online giving. You definitely want a Community Central account
so you don't miss out on any of the happenings at Community Church!

The Tech Team Needs You! Are you interested in serving behind-the-scenes in a vitally important ministry?
The Tech Team has openings and we will train you! After training, your time commitment
could be as little as 2 hours a month. We currently have a team of 25 incredible volunteers
that range in age from 13 to 72. They support every single ministry in this church in addition to
what you see on the weekends. To continue that support, we need to DOUBLE the size of
our team! You could help with live sound, projection, lighting, cameras, video production and
editing, screen graphics or equipment maintenance. You don't need to be a creative
type, an IT or AV professional. If you can focus on a task and are trainable we have a place
for you! For more information, contact Leigh Casale at [email protected] or
724-396-4777 or fill out the Connect Card in your bulletin.
THE ARK Registration 2018-19 Now Open Registration for the upcoming school year will be on-line only; no paper forms will be
accepted. Please visit www.CommunityUMChurch.com and click “Kids/Teens” then “ARK
Ministry” to access the link. The form must be filled out in its entirety and a non-refundable $30
registration fee is due at the time of submission. This fee can conveniently be paid
on-line via credit card. We look forward to serving your family in your early childhood
education journey! If you have any questions about any of our offerings, please do not hesi-
tate to contact Dawn Albright ([email protected]).

“The Upper Room” is for adults, “Devozine” is for teens and “Pockets” is for kids. These daily
devotional and magazines are FREE to anyone in the church. PLEASE take them and use
them! Share them with your family and friends and be blessed by their words!
Building News Update
This week’s update brings us some exciting movement outside the building. You probably no-
ticed the new scaffolding near the rear entrance. The masons will soon begin preparing the
yellow painted block to receive a beautiful stone veneer. The stone is going to be gorgeous
when it’s completed! We always get excited when the masons are on-site because they only
work when the temperatures are a bit warmer, so we’re hoping that the weather cooperates
for a while. For the time being, their scaffolding blocks the sidewalk so there is a new short
sidewalk connecting the handicapped drop-off area with the temporary concrete sidewalk.
As always, we are so grateful for your patience and grace while things change as construc-
tion progresses.
As you make your way into Community Church’s parking lot from Route 130, please
remember that there is still only ONE entrance into the campus from Route 130. We’ve always
had one entrance, and that has not changed with construction. We’ve noticed that some
people have been entering our campus from Route 130 closer to the Ministry House. That is
an EXIT ONLY location, and entering our campus near the Ministry House could cause
confusion, traffic congestion or even an accident. As always, we ask that you take your time,
pay attention to signs and use extreme caution in the parking lot.
New C.L.A.S.S. 101 / Begins April 4th / 4:00pm / Patterson Parlor Want to know more about Community Church membership? Sign up for CLASS 101!
New class will begin Saturday, April 4th at 4:00pm in Patterson Parlor.
If childcare is needed or you have questions, please contact Elizabeth Somes at
[email protected] or 724-744-3413 ext. 204.

paign, please don’t hesitate to ask. Modifying your pledge for this campaign is as easy as

Would you like to send a smile? Each week we will highlight our “Person Of The Week”
