Designscapes has a lot to offer our landscape design clients, from our nationally award winning design/build

landscape designs, a production department fully staffed with licensed/certified professionals, to our on-sight,

computer generated, full-color rendered landscape design plans. Our clients enjoy visiting our strolling gardens,

enabling them to explore samples of building materials and planting features, and our on sight administrative office

staff is eager to address all our client’s needs.

Being a quality oriented design/build landscape firm we constantly strive to be one of the most innovative and

creative companies in the Long Island marketplace. Designscapes is a multifaceted company specializing in custom

masonry of stone walls, terraces and patios, design and installation of pools, pool-scapes, ponds and waterfalls,

custom carpentry, sod and seeded lawns, irrigation, night-scaping and specialty garden design and installation.

Conceptual design underlies the work Designscapes does. Though we do not adhere to specific style of garden

design we offer a mix of formal and natural gardens tailored to the client's specific needs. There is a range of design

Our design team wi l l go to work ref in ing your design to produ ce the perfect outdoor enterta inment products you dream of . Can I design a unit with curves?

Absolute ly. At DESIGNSCAPES we have per fected a process to produce gracefu l curves and rounded ends as your design requires. What about electr ical out lets or l ighting?

You can certa in ly add those features. Elect r ica l connect ions must be made according to local codes, but DESIGNSCAPES can inc lude e lect r ica l out let boxes at your desired locat ions.

What appliances do you recommend?

We can design your is land or f i replace to inc lude a var iety of appl iances inc luding, g r i l ls , s ide and power burners, s inks, bar stat ions, ref r igerators, icemakers and more! What brand of appliances do you work with?

We supply Ki tchenAid/W hir lpool , Bul l and Vik ing sta in less s tee l appl iances, which are top brands that of fer bet ter qual i ty and warrant ies.

What do you use to build the frame?

At DESIGNSCAPES we use corros ion res is tant custom formed 22 gauge galvanized f raming mater ia ls . W e weld the f rame for complete r ig id i ty and long l i fe . Most commerc ia l bui ld ings are bui l t wi th s imi lar f raming. Galvanized metals are used in l ight poles, f lag poles, s ign f rames, cel l phone towers, fences and more. For the u l t imate in corros ion res is tance we do of fer sta in less s teel f ramin g for an addi t ional cost . W e f ind that in most environments, galvanized f raming is more than adequate. What are the wal ls and top made of?

We cover the f rame wi th ½ inch cement board. This board is made f rom 20+ layers of cement. I t is tota l ly waterpro of and st ructura l ly r ig id. I t is the perfect base for apply ing f in ish mater ia ls of stucco, s tone, t i le or br ick . The same mater ia l is used for suppor t under t i le in moist locat ions and commerc ia l appl icat ions.

Wil l I need a crane or forkl i f ts for plac ing the unit?

Not at a l l . Our process produces a component system that can usual ly be hand led by two people. The appl icat ion of f in ish mater ia ls on s i te means no heavy equipment and no damaged property.

What should I use for the countertop?

Grani te is a popular choice. Many people a lso choose b lue stone. W hatever you choose should be water and f reeze res is tant non organic mater ia l . DESIGNSCAPES components are designed for easy instal la t ion of the counter top of your choice.

How do we attach the unit (s) to the ground?

That depends on the surface. On a deck, s imple lag bolts are f ine. On a concrete pat io you might choose lead anchors or power load fasteners.

Can you bui ld a mult i level uni t?

What about f i replaces?

Second only to the outdoor k i tchen, the f i replace def ines the outdoor room. Some customers even inc lude the outdoor room in the homes square footage when a f i replace is inc luded. I t is the perfect outdoor gather ing spot .

Should my f i replace be wood or gas?

That is l ike ask ing wh ich is bet ter , vani l la and chocolate? W hi le some consumers prefer the crack le and smel l of a wood f ire, many customers choose the convenience of gas. Gas means no ashes to c lean and no sparks to worry about . W e can help you choose the best f i replace for your use. Does DESIGNSCAPES bui ld f i repi ts?
