Solutions

iPASOLINK VR1250 is the most advanced converged Optical / Wireless

transport platform on the market today. With 12-way nodal capabilities,

support for transmit power up to +40dBm, hitless adaptive modulation

rates of QPSK-4096QAM, and channel bandwidths up to 80MHz, any-

to-any cross connect of 1GbE, 10GbE, and CWDM traffic interfaces,

NEC developers have designed a unique cutting edge modular transport

platform. The iPASOLINK VR1250’s higher modulation techniques and

wider bandwidth support enable evolution into the fifth generation

network with ease and peace of mind.

iPASOLINK EX Advanced is an ultra-compact radio communication

system utilizing Adaptive Modulation and Bandwidth (AMBR) together

enabling 10Gbps wireless throughput capacity in a single channel and

will maintain high quality network connections -- even in severe weather

conditions. Approximately 30% smaller than the previous iPASOLINK

EX model, the iPASOLINK EX Advanced improves site acquisition and

installation costs. The integrated interfaces allow efficient transmission of

high capacity data to core networks via optical fiber.

iPASOLINK 100E is a powerful, extremely compact split architecture

microwave radio, providing up to 370Mbps of L2 traffic throughput.

Designed as a low-cost, highly versatile radio system, the iPASOLINK

100E minimizes cost without sacrificing performance. Seamless adaptive

modulation provides maximum throughput and protected bandwidth for

critical traffic, and VLAN support provides secure data separation and

granular bandwidth management.

Service Provider Solutions Overview

The 5000S microwave radio is available in a wide range of

configurations, and its capacity can be increased or configuration

changed by simply adding modules and/or sub-racks. The 5000 Series

will accommodate up to 10 RF systems (10 channel terminal or a 5

channel East/West repeater) in a single cabinet. Additionally, with the

patented optional Cross Polarization Interference Canceller (XPIC), it can

reliably transmit up to 16 channels in the 6GHz band. Its modular design

allows the SDH-based 5000S to easily be migrated to the 5000iPS, in

preparation for an all-IP network.

The NEC 5000 Series is the optimal solution for high capacity, multi-channel, Synchronous Optical Network (SONET), level 3 (OC-3) data transmission,

as well as high capacity Ethernet transport with reliable, hitless adaptive modulation switching. Operating in the licensed 6GHz and 11GHz frequency

bands, these radios are a cost effective alternative solution to long-haul fiber -- especially in challenging terrain environments where fiber is difficult to

deploy or not readily available.

The 5000iPS, with rich packet switching functionality and microwave/

optical convergence features, this system can handle not only the IP

traffic but also legacy TDM traffic to support the move toward all-IP

network solution over long-haul transmission networks.

iPASOLINK 250/650 is an intelligent, full-featured versatile backhaul

transport platform for TDM and IP traffic on high capacity networks

requiring responsive high speed backhaul transport. They meet the

demands of small to large backhaul links, and integrated advanced Layer

2 switching features enable network traffic management with priority

and precision, ensuring efficient bandwidth utilization. This is a modular

network element that integrates a comprehensive set of packet switching

and microwave/optical convergence features; its use results in reduced

TCO through low CAPEX and extremely high MTBF.

iPASOLINK EX (Ethernet) is a point-to-point microwave relay system

operating in the lightly licensed E-band frequency spectrum with very

high performance, extensive system flexibility, ease of installation,

field-proven reliability and very low total cost of ownership. With robust

hitless adaptive modulation, it transports critical traffic with very high

dependability. Supporting transmission rates up to 3Gbps out of the

box or optional pay-as-you-grow steps, the iPASOLINK EX is scalable to

accommodate future application and capacity needs, with a variety of

available configuration options to meet a range of network and budget

requirements.

iPASOLINK EX (CPRI) is a point-to-point microwave relay system

operating in the lightly licensed E-band frequency spectrum that provides

fronthaul serial transport utilizing the Common Public Radio Interface.

Extremely low latency values meet the requirements of even the most

sensitive RRH radios. iPASOLINK EX (CPRI) radio serves a Layer 1 “media

converter”, and offers very high performance and wide system flexibility.

The unit is compact and lightweight, easy to install and cost effective,

with field-proven reliability.
