Removal of weather related debris, clipping
trails from overgrowth, and picking up and dis-
posing of human trash related items.
Back Country Horsemen of Missouri attend
training on trail repair and restoration to take
home to their chapters to apply the practices in
their home areas across the state.
Back Country Horsemen of Missouri (BCHMO) is the state organization of Back Country Horsemen of
America (BCHA) . BCHA is a federation of states that has been in existence for over 40 years and has
contributed millions of dollars of in-kind volunteer labor and service to public land agencies.
On a national level BCHA states provide packing skills for packing into wilderness where other means of
access would be impossible in order to fight fires, build bridges, repair trails and many other trail repair
needs. Nationally all multiuse trails, wilderness or non-wilderness , benefit from the volunteer work
provided by members of Back Country Horsemen.
Please consider supporting BCHA and BCHMO to help further our mission to ensure
access to trails for horse and pack stock. The work we do benefits all trail users—
equestrians, hikers, bicyclists, all outdoor enthusiasts by providing safe and sustainable
trails.
Thank you for your consideration !
