SUB: Introduction of Tech2Win Application

All models currently supported by Tech2 Software.

In response to Dealer requests to end requirements to purchase the old Tech2 Hardware, we are proud to announce full service support of All ISUZU Vehicles using GIDSS Hardware with the introduction of New Tech2Win Software and software updates to both GlobalTIS and GIDSS. Legacy Vehicles previously not covered by GIDSS. GIDSS Interface Box and Smart Cable replace Tech2 Hardware Kit, 24V adapters, and CANdi modules. Tech2Win software replaces Tech2 Hardware and Memory Cards used for Diagnostics. GlobalTIS software replaces TIS2000 software and USB Hardware Keys used for SPS.

Precondition to install Tech2Win: -Tech2Win needs both GlobalTIS software Ver. 7.1 and G-IDSS software with latest update on the same PC.

-Tech2Win needs G-IDSS firmware “MX2_10_01_2013” or later. Install Tech2Win: -Tech2Win application has to be installed from within GlobalTIS. Please refer to following “Users Guide” in page 3 -12. [Image of the connection from a vehicle to Tech2Win]

Supported system by Tech2Win: -Supports most common systems, same as Tech2. Initial release does not support all systems. Please refer to “Tech2Win List of Available Systems“ page 13 -18. All remaining releases will be completed by Oct. 2014.

THA-3 is part of Tech2 DC24V Adapter (THA-1). In case of vehicle with DLC 3 pin connector (F series, C&E before 06MY), THA-3 connects to Smart Cable.

Tech2Win FAQ

Q1 - Do I still need my Tech2 kit, 24 Volt Adaptor, CANdi module, USB Key? A1 - No. At the time of release, Tech2Win has not been tested on all past configurations, so

we can not guarantee that there are no bugs. However, the software has been in use by GM dealers for several years. Our objective in releasing this software is to eliminate the need for old Tech2 hardware. It is advised that you keep the hardware as back up.

Q2 - Do I need internet connection to use Tech2Win? A2 - No, internet is not required to use, but internet connection is required to install

Tech2Win software and to maintain G-IDSS license. Q3 - Do I have to maintain my old TIS2000 Software? A3 - No. We recommend all TIS2000 software users to update to GlobalTIS software. You

can not install Tech2Win without GlobalTIS installed. Q4 - What software needs to be installed before I install Tech2Win. A4 - Tech2Win requires G-IDSS Software to be installed in order to install required MX2

interface box drivers. Additionally, G-IDSS software needs to connect to the internet allowing the G-IDSS Updater software to check for software updates. Firmware MX2_10_01_2013 update released on November 11, 2013 added Tech2Win functions. GlobalTIS software version 7.1 is also required. Within this update is the download software to install Tech2Win.

Q5 - Do I need to update my Tech2Win software? A5 - Once you install Tech2Win software and successfully download vehicle configuration 1

software from GlobalTIS, the software will function for 60 days. You can update the license via GlobalTIS Security update, as required. If future software updates are required, they will be delivered via GlobalTIS DVD updates.

Q6 - How do I connect Tech2Win to a Vehicle? A6 - Connect your PC with Tech2Win software to a G-IDSS MX2 interface box via USB

cable. Make a connection from the MX2 box using the G-IDSS Smart Cable directly to DLC connector in the vehicle, or for specific vehicle controllers use the special Tech2 connectors and connect at the Smart Cable interface.

Q7 - Do I need any adapters for 12V or 24V vehicles? A7 - No. G-IDSS MX2 interface box can handle both 12V and 24V connections.

Introduction・・・・ Tech2Win is a software application that runs on Windows PC simulating Tech2 Hardware and Diagnostic Software. This guide will help you to install and use the new Tech2Win software introduced in GlobalTIS update 7.1.

Before you install ・ You must log in to windows user account having Administrator privilages. ・ Connect your PC to Vehicle. See illustration at end of this document. ・ GlobalTIS Version 7.1 software must be installed and registered. ・ GIDSS software must be installed and updated with Firmware MX2_10_01_2013

Required Steps to Get Started Tech2Win Step-1 Install G-IDSS Step-2 Install GlobalTIS Step-3 Install Tech2Win

1. Start Tech2Win 2. Download Tech2 software from Global TIS 3. Validate Tech2Win license

1．Download and install Tech2Win 1） Start GlobalTIS from GlobalTIS shortcut icon on the desktop,

and then click Software Downloads Home menu (SWDL).

2) Click the button "Start Software Download", and then start the application.

3) "Tech2Win download screen" is displayed. Select the latest version, click the "Install" button, and then start the download and installation of Tech2Win.

Installation requires only a few minutes. Verify each screen and proceed with "Next". Please select your preferred Language.

Select “Next” to start the setup wizard.

You must accept the license agreement. Once checked, "Next" to agree.

Please confirm the install location. Default is C: and ¥ProgramFiles¥Isuzu ¥ Tech2Win. It is in the location specified previously in the case of re-installation. You can use "change (C) ..." button or on an as-needed basis.

Please click the "Install" button.

Click "Finish" to complete the setup.

Click cancel, please go to "run the Tech2 software download to Tech2Win from 2. GlobalTIS" next page.

2． Tech2 software download to Tech2Win from GlobalTIS 1) Please confirm G-IDSS has been updated to the latest version.

2) Select the icon of "General Export" or "CanBasedDiagnostics" from the three

shortcuts on the desktop.

3) As you first start, the following message will appear. Click "OK"

4) If the manufacturer selection box appears, select the "ParTech-MX2" and press "OK".

5) Tech2Win is displayed, it is displayed with the license count 0 at the bottom right.

6) Run the software download of "General Export" from GlobalTIS.

* You must be connected to the Internet in order to acquire a license. * When connected you will be available for download to Tech2 card Tech2 body .

Tech2Win license will be updated and become effective once selected Tech2 software is downloaded.

Note: The screen of Tech2Win, it will download and display status similar to that of the Tech2.

7) Tech2Win license is confirmed the download is complete, it will be valid for 60 days.

Your screen should reflect the above status.

3．Tech2Win license Renewal

1) Start the Tech2Win. 2) License does not exist or has expired, the lower right corner of the status bar

(0) is displayed.

In Tech2Win, license will be obtained once the download is complete the software. Or you can get a license security access GlobalTIS (Security). * Important Must be connected to the Internet to complete license acquisition. 3) Open security access GlobalTIS the (Security) to download the security

authorization for access to Tech2Win application.
