However, in the cricketing world, of today, I would crown Kumar Sangakkara as the greatest. He not only excelled as a batsman, but he also brought pro- fessional- ism, and class, to everything that he did as a cricketer. Now that he has retired, he will, no doubt, be greatly missed by cricket fans, the world over. These are some of the thoughts, expressed by a cross section of folks, connected with the enter- tainment scene, on the great Sangakkara. = Sohan Weerasinghe (Singer / Entertainer) Kumar Sangakkara is a role model for all Sri Lankans. I know how simple, and dedicated, and focused, he is, as, till quite recently, my son,Darshan, was involved as the trainer of the national team. I am an avid cricket fan and have seen many of his innings, and he is a delight to watch, and when he is in full swing, he is sheer poetry in motion. No, no high commission- er’s post for him. We need him to be an ambassador for world crick- et. = Corrine Almeida (Singer / Entertainer) Sanga, you gave, not only to Sri Lanka, but to the rest of the world, as well, your best. And every bit of it is greatly appreciated. We love you and we are very proud of you. Now sit back, relax and enjoy your family life. Good luck. =Alston Koch (Singer / Actor / Entertainer) I have met Kumar many times, through my involvement, not only as Ambassador for Tourism, but also when I was appointed to the committee for the World Cup Tournament, in 2011, and later as 'Goodwill Ambassador' for the same tournament. Always the first player to walk up to me and shake my hand, after each rendition of the National Anthem, at the interna- tional games, Kumar is the perenni- al 'Mr Nice Guy' and, having shared many quiet discussions, I firmly believe he is more than qualified' for the job as High Commissioner for Sri Lanka – in any part of the world. = Madu Awanthi (Photographic Model / Beauty Tips Writer) It’s a pity to see Kumar Sangakkara retire from the cricket scene when he still has a lot to offer, especially as a batsman. I guess his family life is now very important to him, so we need to thank him for his amazing contribution to cricket. Thank you, Kumar, and all the very best for your future plans. =Rajiv Sebastian (Singer / Entertainer) In Kumar Sangakkara, we had the most presentable captain ever, with his speech and his behavior. And, as a batsman, he was dynamic. =Avocado Face Mask: Cut one ripe avocado, in half, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash with a fork. Add 1/2 table- spoon extra-virgin olive oil, one tablespoon natural honey, and one tablespoon yogurt and stir until smooth. After washing, and drying your face, apply a thin layer of the avocado mask, avoiding the eye area. Leave the mask on for at least 15 minutes. After the mask has dried, rinse your face with warm water. = Avocado Face Pack: Another fantastic homemade face pack, especially for dry skin. Mash one ripe avocado, till you get a creamy paste. Apply all over face, and neck, and let it dry for about 30 minutes. Then, rinse with lukewarm water, fol- lowed by cold water, to close the pores. =Avocado Egg Face Mask: Mash up ½ of a ripe avocado, with a fork, and then add the egg white, of one egg, and one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and mix well. Apply this mix- ture to your face and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes. Be careful to avoid your eyes. When finished, wash your skin with lukewarm water and pat it dry. =Avocado, Milk and Honey Face Pack: Scoop the flesh out of a ripe avocado and mash it into a creamy paste. Add in two tablespoons of milk and one tablespoon of honey to it. Mix everything properly, and apply on the face and neck. Rinse off after 30 min- utes. Take one egg white and add it to this paste. Apply on the face and neck, and rinse off after 20 minutes. This is a good anti-ageing face pack. = Avocado, Lemon and Honey Face Pack: To the creamy mashed paste of one avocado, add in one table- spoon of honey, and half a squeeze of lemon. Mix well, and apply on the face and neck, and rinse off after 20 minutes. Regular use will give your skin a nice glow. =Avocado and Banana Face Mask: Mash ½ of a soft avocado and ½ of a banana. Add one egg yolk to it and mix all the ingredients well. Apply this mixture on your face and wash it off after 10 minutes. = Avocado, Papaya and Milk Face Pack: Mash one ripe avocado and a ripe papaya well, in order to form a smooth paste.
