On Wednesday, September
28, the Florida Department
of Education encourages all
dads and/or other male role
models to get involved in
their children’s education.
The purpose of this event
is to highlight the tremen-
dous difference dads can
make when they take a more
active role in the child’s edu-
cational experience.
For parents with children who show signs of learning and attention issues, life can often be stressful. Since there is no guide book, parents often don’t know how to help their child succeed. Fortunately, there is an online re-source that is packed with useful information, Understood.
The website contains information ranging from signs & symptoms to evaluations and special services, and best of all, it’s free! With the right support, parents can help chil-dren unlock their strengths and reach their full potential.
If you would like more information from the non-profit organization, simply click on the logo above or visit them at www.understood.org/en.
Florida Law requires public school
districts to commemorate the founding
principles of our nation during the last
full week of September. During the week
of September 26-30, your child will be
learning valuable lessons regarding our
nation!
If you would like to check out some
online resources and games, please visit
www.fldoe.org and search for Celebrate
Freedom Week.
For the safety of our students, we will
be strictly enforcing the following change-
of-route rules;
We will no longer accept change-of-
route phone calls after 1:30 p.m.
To sign a child out from school, you
must be listed in Skyward as one of the
child’s emergency contacts and show
photo identification EVEN if someone on
campus knows you.
Again, for the safety of the children, we
hope you understand these minor incon-
veniences.
